A Magical Time

Although I'm sad that the show has ended, I am on cloud nine and will never forget my experience. It was definitely worth the wait and the money! The same lady that brought us to these seats is coming back towards us with my wheelchair and she's smiling. "Did you enjoy the show?" She asks us. We excitedly tell how much we did. It takes us five minutes to transfer and make sure we've got all of our belongings. Then she leads us the way. I'm confused when I realise she's taking us the opposite way to where everyone else is heading for which is the way out. I shift round in my chair to look at Caz to see what she might be thinking, she shrugs. The lady looks at us. "It's much quieter this way. Don't worry, you'll be outside soon." Oh that's okay then. Yet, I'm convinced that this is towards the backstage area which is where we were earlier for the VIP. In all of the years and visits to here, I have never left the arena this way before.

I hear the sound of equipment being dismantled to my left. In front of us, I see rails of clothing being pulled. As we get closer, it dawns on me that they're the outfits that the guys wear on stage. They look really different being close up, and the quality of them look expensive. There's a male voice to the right side and I turn to look, it's Jared. The band's manager.

He spots us. I wave back to him. The lady stops and stays put. He picks up his pace and is with us within a few seconds. "Nina and Caz, good to see you again! I hope you both had fun?" I think our faces tell him everything he wants to know. "Where is she at, is she here?" I lift my brow when I hear another voice that I recognise, and just as I thought, Jon is walking the set of doors in the same direction that Jared had come from. I see his big smile causing my own lips to form a grin in return. "There you are!" I have a bazillion questions and thoughts whirling through my head. "Hey Jon!" He asks me if he can give me a hug where I welcome him with open arms. "Did you enjoy the show?" I wait until he pulls away to respond. "It was incredible. It looked like you all were enjoying it as well which makes it more fun to watch."

I study his facial features and I think he's more handsome as he gets older. I think men age like fine wine. He's the perfect example, in fact all of the New Kids are.
"Are you on social media, Nina?" Jon takes his phone out of his pocket as I look at what he's doing. "Yeah, I am. I follow you and all of the guys. You should find me in the follow lists." I smile at him. I notice him scrolling through lots of names, I suddenly feel guilty. "My username is WheelieNina" almost instantly, he finds me. "Cute picture you have." I feel myself blushing hearing his compliment. "Hey yo brother, was wondering where you got to?" I look up to find Jordan waltzing through the doors, obviously looking for Jon, then I spot a smile on Jordan's face as he gets closer. "Hey you, nice to see you again." He greets me. "Hi Jordan. You too."

I glance around me at the lady and I twist round to see Caz standing behind me, also smiling. I still don't know what is really happening here but it's surreal. "The buses are ready to take us." Jordan informs his brother. I watch as he places his hand on Jon's shoulder. "I'm afraid we got to go, but it was so good to see you and Caz again. I'm happy that you enjoyed yourselves." He proceeds to give me a goodbye hug which Jordan follows his suit in giving me a hug as well. "Safe travels guys!" I tell them both and we go to wave them off but Jon stops in his tracks... "hang on this is the way out, we can walk out together. I'll be right back, gotta go grab my stuff from the dressing room!" He quickly walks away. Jordan already has his belongings with him so he slowly walks with us. "Have you travelled far to here?" He asks us. Caz fills him in. We make small talk with him. He's cute when he smiles because of his well-known dimples and he comes across as a little shy. Maybe not shy but quiet. The opposite of when he's up on the stage. We hear various voices coming from behind us and I see the buses ahead. We stop and move to the side. Jon, Donnie, Danny and Joey are now in our view. They all show a display of big smiles when they see us. Each guy says 'hey' and quickly take it in turns to hug me. Jared appears talking on his phone. I watch as they each climb into the buses.

The Knights are going in the last one by the looks of it as they're stood in front of me. Jon tells me to tag him in my posts and he'll make sure to keep an eye out for them. He does remind us that Jordan isn't online anymore. It's getting on now and they need to leave to head to wherever they are going to. They each give us a big squishy hug and tell us to take care. "Thank you for everything, it really has been magical and I'll never forget any of it." I watch as they climb into their bus, they make sure to wave for the last time before closing the bus door. Sadness pings in my chest. The lady who is still with us, walk us to the big gates and wish us a safe journey. We thank her for her hospitality and hope to see her again in the future.
It takes us approximately twenty minutes to walk back to the hotel. We're shocked to see a group of people hovering around the main entrance lobby. Caz pushes me inside the building and we're greeted by the staff.

"Hi, are you staying with us?" When we nod, they tell us, "the lifts have all broken down, there was an emergency earlier and we are unable to get them maintained until tomorrow at the earliest. If you're able to find appropriate accommodation then that would be great, if you struggle then please let us know." I rub my head, thinking what a way to end a wonderful day, not! Caz goes to collect our belongings from our room while I hunt online. I mention about the hotel situation on my twitter account 'what a way to end the most wonderful day/evening by being unable to stay at my hotel, not!' My phone blows up with notifications.
