You woke up tired, but a bit refreshed, you got up for the day and brushed out your hair(if your hair is buzzed ignore this and put in something just as washing face or brushing teeth!) You finished your morning duties and yawned. You worked at (insert job) and you had a few days off as of your moving and it's an at home job anyways. Though as you walked outside for a bit you felt your phone ring. It was your.. "Partner."
(THIS PART BELOW CONTAINS SAID BEHAVIOR OF MANIPULATION AND SUCH WATCH FOR ALL CAPS FOR WHEN IT SAYS IT'S OVER IF THIS MAY BE A TRIGGERING SUBJECT FOR YOU!)
"Yes love? " you answered the phone hastily. Your partner sighed. "I texted AND called. Do you know how it makes me feel? You're already so far.. " you felt your heart sink. "I'm sorry, just with the mov-" you got cut off. "DON'T you DARE use the whole moving stuff. I'm able to make time for you. Do I mean NOTHING to you? " they raised their voice. You sighed and as they raised their voice you got a bit upset. "No- it's not like that my phone has just been.. Off. " you two went back and fourth until they yelled.
"I'm sick of your shit y/n you're crappy and honestly I have no idea why I'm with you! " you felt those words stab you and you cried. From then you two broke up.

You hung up the phone very agitated, and almost in tears as you walked back to your house and sat in your backyard under a tree, crying a bit, as this relationship was now over with. What you didn't know though was Wally heard every word as he was grabbing the morning paper, he walked to his house and put the paper inside,before he walked over and sat next to you under the shaded tree. He spoke, with a calm look
"Hey my dear neighbor, I don't mean to intrude, are you okay? " he said, his voice very gentle, soft and calm. You shaked your head and you tried to explain but stopped midway through.
"I shouldn't tell you.. It's not your.. Jo.. " you did get caught off but only as he took your hand, understanding somewhat of what he could.
"Well, in my opinion, I may not have known you long but, I think you're the absolute most, y/n..really. I'm glad to have you in our town. " he said glancing softly you looked astonished but happy that he was listening, but a thought ran through your mind. "Why am I telling him this... What's so calming about him... I just MET him yesterday.." you blinked a few times, shoving the thought down but the thought made you feel a little bit happier.
Your friend came out and called over to you. "You okay?! " they said with a tired tone of voice, but filled with concern. "Yeah! " you replied shakily and smiled. Your friend squinted at Wally but went back inside none the less. The male looked back at you "my dear y/n if I must say but.. That person doesn't deserve you silly! You're much better than them, I assure you. " he gave a smile and hugged you gently. You couldn't help but hug back. Then he stood up and looked down at you.
"How about we go do something to cheer you up? " Wally smiled and held out his hand. You humbly accepted and wiped your eyes, your now ex called again. You swore you saw a glint of anger in Wally's eyes but remained calm. "Just.. Ignore it y/n.." He smiled thoughtfully as you slowly shut off your phone, he was right as not to focus on that person anymore, you turned to him. "Could I invite f/n? " Wally nodded. "Of course, anything for a fellow neighbor. " he gave a smile and waited near the tree, you went inside cheerfully and headed over to f/n. "Hey! Wally invited us to do something fun, what do you say? " you asked happily. Your best friend looked up with you. "I can't.. I have work around here with that guy Eddie.. At the post office sorry. Just.... Be careful okay? " your friend smiled and finished getting ready for the day and walked out. You said goodbye and went back out to where Wally was.
"Sorry! F/n won't join, they have work I totally forgot. " he shrugged and nodded. "Well that's okay, y/n, it can just be us then.... Either way... I don't mind... " he laughed softly and you two started walking, sharing small information and over all having an Amazing time with one another. You were right, he may come off as strange but man was he very sweet. At least to you, you'd thought to yourself. Then paused when you noticed where you guys were at. It was an art studio, and pottery.
"Wow I didn't know they had pottery making here. " you beamed as you looked around, Wally looked down at you with a awe glance. "Well, yeah, hidden around town I guess... Hahaha" he smiled and you two sat down. You ended up making a matching plate and bowl with strawberries and he made a heart with some writing on it with "I love you, doesn't that make your day! " it seemed to be a container though unlike yours.
You smiled and honestly for a bit forgot all about the break up that happened. Later on you got home, after you, Wally and actually a new person named Julie joined at a table and ate out, all three of you chipping in for the bill. It was pleasant. The girl took up hair styling and such as a hobby which was cool to you, and she was friendly, but then you noticed the time and f/n would be coming home, you wanted to spend some time with them too. and again you and Wally started talking, he walked you home.
As you two talked You were really starting to enjoy his company, and him being around you more. Any strange thoughts or doubts you had before about him certainly had been gone by this point. You then walked into your house and you invited Wally in. He accepted. You told your friend about the fun you had and they looked relaxed.
"Glad Wally helped you! And I'm glad you had fun " they laughed and settled down, soon enough all three of you were on the couch, and watching a movie while sharing some (insert favorite meal) here, once finished Wally got up and took everyone's plates, you and f/n thanked him happily as he sat down to watch the rest of the movie, although you couldn't help it, your body got drowsy and the next think you knew you fell asleep, leaning on Wally. Your friend glanced with a smile, laughing and taking a picture and going to bed. Wally on the other hand seemed to be in awe of you and carefully got up, bringing you to your room and covering you up before leaving himself. What a pleasant day.
