chapter 13: sprained ankle healing

Wally looked rather worried as he examined your ankle. "Are you going to be okay y/n? " you could tell by his voice he was scared. F/n looked worried but assured Wally you'd be good enough soon, but a doctors trip would be recommend. You turned around and he carried you to the car, before rushing in to give you ice, hot tea, ibuprofen, and some other things to make you comfortable. For how he was acting, it'd seem like he thought you were gonna die. F/n drove all three of you there, as Wally refused to not come, he protested he had to be by your side.

Soon enough when you guys arrived, Wally opened the door for you and even carried you inside the building. Which was a bit embarrassing as there was people already sort of looking, but you didn't have time to worry about that. Wally spoke to the lady at the desk and she said she would try to get you in as soon as they could. It would be a couple of hours though as there were quite a lot of people there and ahead of you guys. You couldn't help but end up dozing off despite your ankle being in pain. When Wally noticed you had fallen asleep he took off his cardigan and put it around you softly as to act of a blanket. He waited patiently, reading one of the news paper next to him to calm his nervousness, when you were called back, he softly woke you up and frowned a bit as the doctors made him stay outside the waiting room. As of that wasn't his favorite.

The doctors examined it and agreed, just a sprained ankle and prescribed the normal pain killers along with rest and ice every few hours, as well as keep it elevated. The doctors helped you outside and had you sign for the papers before sending you on your way. The second you came out of that room Wally bolted up and made his way to you. "My dear are you okay? What did they say? Can I do anything? " he asked, questions about you and only you spiraled in his head at this second, and you gave him a small, comforting smile leaning against him. "I'm fine Wally.. I promise you, okay?" And with that you guys headed home.

However with heading home didn't mean you got left alone. He was constantly there for you, grabbing drinks and food for you, he often cooked which you sort of did enjoy, you loved his cooking. He gave you kisses and so much affection. Buttt at times it was a little much, for Pete's sake you couldn't even go to the bathroom by yourself, he was constantly around. You laughed and looked at him once as you two were watching a movie. "You know I'm not gonna like, die if you're not around right? " you asked tilting your head a bit. He thought for a moment before replying. "Well of course I know that y/n but what would I ever do if my sunshine got hurt? I... Just couldn't cope with that dear. " he said as he affectionately kissed your head. You smiled softly and gave nothing but a relaxed sigh as he leaned into you.

However at the same time it was needless to say things didn't get boring. He let you do his nails and he put on small singing shows, which occasionally you both joked around with each other. You couldn't help but think during this time that you two may even get married in the future, of course, that'd be such a foolish thought... It would never actually.. Happen right? It's only been a few months after all.

Needless to say though after about 3 weeks your foot was finally healed. Thank goodness for that. As to celebrate, one evening he appeared in your room as you came out of the shower, he was dressed in a normal white shirt with of course, bright red pants, a bit different from his rainbow ones or tan slacks. he gave a smile and you saw there was a matching outfit for you there. (If you're a woman, a red dress for you with pearls, like a 1950s style dress, or if you're a religon that has more coverage, just put it to that standard <3and if your a guy, a red top with white bottoms and black shoes, if you're non binary or such, choose whatever!) 

None the less he then covered your eyes and lead you outside, then hired someone to drive you guys out, you asked where you were going and he gave no answer. Soon enough though you guys did arrive and the driver had left after Wally paid him. and with that he sat you down and took off the blindfold. It was beautiful. You looked up and the black sky was full of many stars, and the moon shining brightly with the surrounding tiny lights. Then, Wally reached behind him and pulled out flowers which you recognized were from what is called a moon garden, over all flowers that Bloom at night and almost have a glow to them, he smiled at you with much love and handed them to you. "Special flowers for a special someone.. " he murmered and kissed you on the head, then the moonlight hit the basket as he took out some food(whatever you like here), and poured you a glass of your favorite drink. You smiled happily and laughed.

"All of this just for healing..? " Wally then looked at you as if you were crazy. "My my y/n..you must not get it, I mean everything for you.. " he gave you a soft smile as he spoke in a tone that matched the smile he gave. He leaned into you and wrapped his arms around your waist, one to your face as he started giving you small kisses on the cheeks, or the head, seemingly everywhere but the lips. This to a point jokingly frustrated you and you tugged him ever so gently down with a smile and a giggle as you mumbled out. "Kiss me you dork.. " Wally could only give a "smug" grin as he nodded. "As you request... " and with that he gave you one, passionate kiss that left butterflies in your stomach. After the kiss you pulled back and looked at him in awe. Just for a moment admiring him before letting out a sigh.

"I really.... Really love you Wally. " you cupped his cheek and gave him a short sweet peck on the cheek. In response he felt himself get a little flustered but gave a sheepish smile. "I love you the most... No matter what.. " and then you two ended up cuddling together, looking up at the endless night sky and the stars. Between you two you both went back and fourth pointing out the constellations, or what patterns you could see. He then pointed out jokingly at a random shape of stars and laughed. "You see those y/n? If you really focus, I almost see a heart. Even my love for you is in the stars" he said to you softly, and to response you couldn't help but laugh aloud. "That is, the most, CORNIEST thing I've heard from you.. But.. It's still sweet. " he smiled and put his head against yours, you both admiring the nature around you until you let out a yawn. And with that, he called the driver and paid double for it being so late, then he carried you upstairs into bed, leaving so you could get changed. Once finished he cuddled up in bed with you kissing the top of your head.

"Goodnight... I love you.. " and with that everything went black slowly but peacefully. You were glad your ankle had healed and all was peaceful, all except for someone's certain dreams.
