chapter 21: beach party to celebrate

Later that night Wally was free to go, you asked if just you two could hang out for a bit, of course he agreed. His friends told him about how he forgot about you and he felt bad, he kept kissing you and showing you nonstop affection. You laughed a bit. "Wally, it's okay, really! " he still kissed your face until you bursted out in more laughter. You hugged him tightly though as you guys were walking to the car.

You, Julie, Barnaby, and of course wally talked a bit about the whole thing, then you looked at him. "Wally...? " he looked at you with a small smile. "Yes sweetie? " you looked down. "What... Happened? Like.. With home and you.? " his smile faded for a moment but patted your head. "There there, y/n. You don't have to worry about silly things such as that! " he smiled and continued walking. You sighed softly but you didn't wanna push him. You guys got home and padded in, setting down everything you threw your self on the couch. The stressful madness was over. Wally sat next to you and you cuddled into him. Even if it was a few days, you missed him holding you or you holding him. You exhaled happily as you melted into him. He gave a gentle smile and spoke. "Looks like someone missed me.. Hm? " he nudged into you but kept holding you. In response you gave a nod as you ended up falling asleep, however with Wally he got his own amount of sleep with the medication they did put him on and just in general from the incident.

As you slept he made sure you were comfortable, and kissed your head softly. He went to go do some painting, which he did for about 30 minutes until Barnaby and Julie walked up to him. "Hey Wally! " the blonde jeered up as she skipped to him. He nodded with that pleasant smile he always had and looked at the two. "Well hello neighbors, what brings you here? " he asked tilting his head, looking up from his painting. They laughed and looked at each other.

"Well we were wondering if you and y/n would be interested in going to the beach with us! It's a beautiful day our and warm! Great to relax in nature huh? " Julie said with a gleaming smile. Wally thought for a moment before nodding. "Why, of course. We would love to join you! When are you guys planning on heading out? " he questioned as he continued painting on the canvas. Barnaby and Julie looked at each other before shrugging. "Around maybe 2? " they glanced back at Wally. He nodded and agreed. "That settles it! Well, see you then neighbor! " he waved them goodbye and headed in. Then looked at you on the couch, peacefully asleep. He smiled sweetly towards our direction before he headed upstairs to pack towels, sunscreen, hair ties (if you need them, he will fr need them when his hair gets wet❗) and along with some water and home made snacks. Then padded his way back downstairs.

Slowly Wally came up behind you, planting a kiss on your forehead and bent down to you. "Helllooo sleepyhead" he smiled as you turned a bit. "Mmmmnnggphhhh" was your response as you flipped over. Wally couldn't help but laugh a bit to himself as he then ever so softly shook you. "Why y/n...its no time for games, cmon slow poke, we're going to the beach! " you seemingly opened your eyes up more to those words and smiled. "Great! Let's goooo! " you yawned sleepily and rubbed your eyes, sitting up. Wally gave you a kiss on the lips before letting you get ready.

You put your swimsuit under your clothes (if you're wearing swim trunks, you can wear them to the beach and carry extra for when you're done with the water- it's really up to you love) you finished getting ready, you did go to pack but Wally already had everything set. You smiled happily and joined him, getting into the car. You guys blasted the most basic Taylor Swift songs just to be cheesy(no shade on her, she's great) and sung it while driving. You laughed a bit as you two kept messing around. Right once you got there, Julie and Barnaby were already all set. Julie was putting in sunscreen and well, Barnaby didn't have to. You went for the water as Wally tsked. "Ah ah ah dear, sunscreen! " you shook your head and came back. "Right- I forgot" you said with a smile, he started spraying you down, then you heard a cough.
