chapter eight.

Ao'nung, Lo'ak, Neteyam, Kiri, Tsireya, Rotxo and Za'nara all sat in a circle practicing their breathing exercises.

"Imagine a flicker of flames." Tsireya explained. "You must slow down you heartbeat."

Tsireya turned to Lo'ak and held one hand on his heart and the other on his stomach.

"Breathe in." Tsireya said calmly as Lo'ak took a deep breath. "Breathe out."

Ao'nung decided to be playful and push on Za'nara's shoulder. She laughed quietly and pushed him back.

Lo'ak saw this and his heartbeat began to go fast.

"Lo'ak, your heart beat is fast, try to focus." Tsireya explained.

"Sorry." Lo'ak responded, not taking his eyes off Za'nara.

Pure jealousy consumed Neteyam.

"Za'nara, you seem like your getting this. Do you mind giving me a hand?" Neteyam asked Za'nara, knowing damn well he didn't need any help and just wanted her away from Ao'nung.

"Sure." Za'nara got up from her spot and moved over to Neteyam.

She placed both hands on Neteyam's chest.

"Breathe in." Za'nara told Neteyam.

Neteyam stared down at her.

"Neteyam, that's not breathing. Your just starting at me."

"My bad." Neteyam responded, still not taking his eyes off of her.

"Neteyam." Za'nara whispered.

"We need to talk." Neteyam whispered back.

"Now?" Za'nara asked.

"Yes now." Neteyam replied.

"We have to go." Neteyam said grabbing Za'nara's arm and holding it.

"So soon?" Ao'nung asked.

"Go where?" Lo'ak asked, confused.

"We forgot something in the hut." Neteyam responded.

"Like what?" Kiri asked.

"It's okay, Kiri." Za'nara replied.

Kiri rolled her eyes and the two of them left.

Back at the hut.

Jake and Neytiri weren't their as they were out hunting with Toniwari.

"You wanted to talk, so talk." Za'nara spoke firmly.

"We have a lot to talk about but more importantly I wanted to talk about the other day, when you were on top of me and that happened." Neteyam explained pointing to his groin.

"We don't have to talk about it Neteyam, it's normal." Za'nara replied.

"That hasn't happened to me before, at least not with someone." Neteyam explained.

"I don't know what you want me to say Neteyam." Za'nara responded.

"Tell me that you feel nothing for me." Neteyam said out of the blue.

"Tell me that all the flirting with Ao'nung is just that. Flirting." He continued.

"So this is what this is about? Ao'nung." Za'nara responded.

"You can't be serious." Za'nara uttered. "Ao'nung and I are just friends, I hardly even know him."

"You need to get over your jealousy." Za'nara demanded.
