Before...
On the other side of the Metkayina...
"You wanna hunt?" Quaritch asked. "Let's hunt."

"Bring it down on the hull!" Scoresby yelled. "Sub teams! Two minutes, let's get in there!"
Quaritch and Scoresby walked around the deck of ship and headed towards one of the boats. Spider remained on the main ship as Quaritch headed out into the water with Scoresby. They chased after one of the Mother Tulkun they had struck with their tracker.
The sky people launched grenades into the water...the sound caused the Tulkun to raise their heads out of the water to prevent them from going death.
"Do they ever fight back?" Quaritch asked Scoresby.
"Nah I've never seen them lift a fin." Scoresby replied. "Tough bastards to kill though."
"Sub teams go!"
The subs got dropped down into the water and rode straight out for the mother Tulkun that the sky people had cut off from the rest of the pod.
"There's our gal! Target in sight!"
The sky people shot out bags of floatation devices which blew the Tulkun up to the surface making it impossible for her to dive back down under the water... keeping her afloat.
"You see..the bags slow her down and keep her up at the surface." Scoresby explained.
"Yeah." Quaritch replied.
"Get me up there, get me on her!" Scoresby yelled. "Ten metres, get me in there. Put me in the pocket."
"Hold, hold!"
"Lines runnin!" Scoresby yelled.
Before a blink of an eye, the mother Tulkun was hit with the explosive harpoon but still managed to continue swimming. Her calf beside her.
The Tulkun screamed and cried out in pain...she swam and swam until she just couldn't anymore... the light drained from her eyes and she stopped.
The sky people clapped in excitement as everyone cheered them on. Spider looked at them all with disgust at how they celebrated the fact they just killed a native animal.

[In the village]
"Your doing it wrong." Neteyam commented on Za'nara's wrapping skills.
"What are you talking about?" Za'nara asked. "Look it's wrapped."
"You did it completely wrong, hand it here." Neteyam replied.
Za'nara handed the wrap over to Neteyam, whom wrapped it perfectly on his first try.
"I hate you sometimes." Za'nara said out of annoyance.
Neteyam laughed.
"Where's Lo'ak?" Neteyam asked.
"No clue." Za'nara replied.
"Aren't you his girlfriend?" Neteyam asked.
"I don't track his every move." Za'nara replied. "Besides maybe I wanted to hang out with you today."
"Aw."
"Shut up."
Neteyam laughed again.
"He doesn't care we're hanging out?" Neteyam asked.
"No, he's cool with it." Za'nara replied.
Neteyam nodded.
"I love you, you know that..." Za'nara blurted out.
