chapter 18.
Za'nara remained coddled up in Lo'ak's arms resting on the beach, hidden away from the rest of the clan. She was still in shock about the night they spent together and told herself "I made the right choice" over and over again in her head for the rest of the night. When she was with Lo'ak, all of their worries washed away and it was just the two of them. As they laid in each other's arms, the sun began to rise and they hadn't even realised they dozed off last night and didn't tell Neytiri and Jake their whereabouts.
Za'nara woke up and stared at Lo'ak and smiled as he slept peacefully and thought to herself, who couldn't love him? Sure he causes trouble a lot but he had the biggest heart and was really just misunderstood. Five fingers or not, she still loved him. It took her a total of 1 minute of enjoying the view to realise Neytiri and Jake probably had no clue where they were, and Lo'ak was probably going to get in more trouble.
"Lo'ak!" Za'nara yelled, shaking his arms to wake him up.
"Morning." Lo'ak mumbled as he was barely awake.
"Yeah Lo'ak, it's morning! Your parents! We dozed off!" Za'nara yelled at him as she began to panic.
That woke Lo'ak up right up from his sleep and he sat up instantly.
"We gotta go!" Lo'ak yelled, standing up realising he had not yet put his loincloth back on.
"Lo'ak..."
"What?" Lo'ak asked, turning around completely clueless.
Za'nara laughed and tried to cover her laugh with her hand. Lo'ak looked down and realised and instantly turned around.
"I'm so sorry." Lo'ak apologised and felt super embarrassed.
Za'nara bursted out laughing.
"It's not funny!" Lo'ak replied to her laughter.
"Why are you even apologising, did you completely forget all of the events that went down last night?" Za'nara questioned him.
"Of course I didn't forget, but if you could reframe from reminding me right now, whilst i'm currently not properly dressed. That would be great!" Lo'ak replied.
"You know what, It might be better if we don't come back together so, I'm going to head out and I'll leave you to get dressed." Za'nara explained, and began to exit her way out of the palm tree clearings before getting pulled back over by her waist.
Lo'ak pulled her into him and gave her one last kiss before she headed off.
"So you don't forget." Lo'ak smirked.
"Put your clothes on." Za'nara grinned before heading out of the clearing.
Lo'ak laughed.

~Later on that morning~
Za'nara attempted to sneak back into the Sully hut without getting caught, she crept in quietly attempting to not make a sound as she suspected everyone was still asleep. As she almost made it back to her hammock...
"Your home late..." Jake whispered, sitting down around the outside of the hut near her hammock.
"Hi, Jake." Za'nara replied, hesitantly turning around to greet him.
"Where have you been? Where's Lo'ak?" Jake asked.
"Morning walk?" Za'nara lied.
"Don't lie to me, I've been up all night." Jake spoke firmly.
"Okay fine, he was mad about the argument last night so we went down to the beach to cool off and watch the sunset and doze off." Za'nara explained. Telling half of the truth.
