Fight for your fairytale

⋆ ── ⋆ ── ⋆

Days raced with the time, resulting in the month falling on the edge of its ending, remarking with the auspicious day of navmi. As the autumn is remarking its arrival, looking forward to the winter which is rare in the city of Mumbai, everyone has an energetic aura around them, moreover for biding the Goddess who came nine days ago to grace the land of humans.

The sun has almost sat down on the horizon allowing the devotees to welcome the upcoming dandiya nights with the evening's aarti. The fair is set with loud music, food counters, dance stages, a huge tent where Goddess Durga is sitting embracing everyone by her blessings.

Mishka stands outside the tent, watching the ongoing pooja in front of her. This temple is of Goenkas where she has come in earlier days hence the Goenkas are the host of today's dandiya nights.

Truth to be told, ranking on the third place of Maharashtra Millionaires and seventh place in India's, they've a good reach.

Mishka didn't go inside even after Swati insisted. She refuses to enter the place she has abandoned long ago, she has no desire left to bend her head down to seek the blessing from a statue that had been a statue ever since she remembered.

She didn't get the protection she needed when it mattered and now, she won't ask for anything from the God who doesn't matter to her anymore.

She knows that Kairav must be waiting for her inside yet the reason wasn't strong enough for her to pull her there.

She met Sonakshi and her family as well, there're so many people here looking forward to enjoying today's event. She's not scared in the crowd anymore after attending the concerts and fairs that Kairav and his gang has gone to with her. Her only goal is for now just to try to enjoy for the sake of Kairav – as it was his wish to celebrate the dandiya nights with her – and leave her as soon as possible.

This place is suffocating her, not because of the crowd, that's least of her concern.

She can feel an eerily energy surrounding her, she can feel herself getting ensnare in the webs of gravity that is pulling her, she can feel the race of her heartbeat and breath increasing by each passing seconds every time she makes an eye contact with the God.

She can feel her body feeling heavier, not because of the lehenga choli she's wearing, the weight is of something else, something she can't describe at the moment, as if the internal force is forcing her to burst out as soon as possible before she falls down.

Her thoughts startled by the phone ringing, she blinked rapidly coming out from the daze, her pupils squinted the moment she read the caller's name – Kairav.

Knowing his purpose of calling her which is against her wish, she still decided to pick it up, “Hello” She speaks calmly.

“Where are you? I can't spot you, tell me what you are wearing?” Kairav asked, looking around at the flocks of people to find his own person. He has got a warm feeling in between the ongoing navmi pooja, as if his sense has caught her arrival the moment she entered into the space.
