You got my heartbeat skipping

“I am not wearing this one!”

Mumma gave me a done look, that clearly screams she's a second ago throwing her sandal at me.

Not my fault. I trust her over selecting my clothes for the wedding, she did great except for the main day. We boys decided to wear the men's pathani kurta set. She selected the color I'd never wear.

Dark violet kurta with rose gold salwaar.

I can't even recognize the proper shade of the violet, it's dark but not my type.

“Then be this way. I don't have time to handle your tantrums.” She closed off the topic before folding the scattered clothes.

I gasp at her words, no way I'm going out wearing this vest and salwaar.

“Mumma, this isn't fair!” I whine, holding her dupatta, she glares at me.

Gosh, she's looking so pretty in her beige shade lehenga. Mumma was ethereal in her youth, no wonder Papa was totally besotted. And she looks divine even in her old age.

“I don't have anything for you then.”

“Then buy one now!” I argued.

“Ek kheench kar lagaungi sare drama khatam ho jayenge. Chup chap jo diya hai vo pehno varna room mein baithe raho!” she scolds, glaring through my skull and showing me her palm.

I slumped down on the bed, my nose scrunching up in annoyance. Sometimes I don't like her, she's so stubborn.

Before I could say something, Papa walked out from the washroom, wearing his sherwani matching with Mumma.

I whistle slightly seeing my mother giving a dreamy look to my father. She tears her eyes off from her man to glare at me, a deep red blush coating her cheeks.

I wiggle my brows, a smirk edging on my lips seeing the lover girl. “Someone is having a hard time keeping her eyes away, huh?” I tease her.

She slapped my shoulder, “I'm looking at my man, why do you care?”

“Because I'm feeling like a third wheel!” I made a dramatic hurt face.
