" I've known it all this time "

"When the stars collide, it brings destruction, disaster and deceit. Yet, this dreadful collision results in a beautiful creation, a new world- a universe."
Mishka stares at the words, her brows jumping and falling in surprise.
Two stars collide, meant for a disaster yet they end up creating a world- a universe, a conclusion after a destruction.
A painful yet pretty reality.
"Stars are near," She mumbles under her breath, tracing the lines written on the pages, "They'll collide, but this disaster would never end up with another world."
She didn't even realize when her eyes filled until a tear drop fell on the page.
She closed the book, staring up at the ceiling, blinking rapidly to force her tears to go back where they came from and allow her chest to feel some ease, not miserable. The silent and empty library gives her the space to hear the words repeatedly, swirling the emotions speedily.
"Nonsense" She relents, glaring up at the false ceiling, "Idiotic book!" her nose flared in anger, veins warming up, emotions- fear, guilt, loneliness, fire- tangling together.
Mishka closes the book, dropping her head down over it, curling her arms around to hide her face, creating a space to choke her threatening sob back. Now, it won't look good to sit in the library and be a crying mess, would it be?
"Come on, I never in my wildest dreams thought that I'd meet a girl like you, that too in college. But see? We were meant to meet. It was written in our stars."
She recalled the words Kairav had spoken to her once. It all happened when Mishka randomly asked him about his thoughts of meeting her.
He replied; it was unexpected and unintentional, she then pressed on him, causing him to elaborate more.
Mishka has always fascinated stars, the universe, the galaxy and the realm. It wasn't her dream to pursue cartography initially, she was just provided with the option and learning about maps, directions, and routes seemed tempting to her.
Maybe, she- like a lost traveler- was trying to find her own direction, and she did. She did find her direction, the routes, the reality and the people she'd cherish.
But when she properly regained her consciousness, she realized; her dreams were always between the stars and the sky. Travelers used to find directions with the help of stars before maps came into a picture. Mishka realized where she came from, what she wanted from her life.
She didn't have to pursue someone else's dream who left her even before she knew what dream and fulfilling them is.
"Knock knock!"
