When he let go, I looked down at him, him looking at me and smiling. He giggled for a second, taking his sleeve and wiping off what seemed to be blood that was still on my chin. I lightly blushed at him doing this, although I didn’t mind.
“I think we should go back to the class. They might be looking for us by now,” he smiled, looking me in the eyes. I softly smirked back, nodding as we began walking back to where our class was.
Luckily, his bite wound had stopped bleeding, so he just hid the wound with his shirt.
“Todoroki! Midoriya!” Kaminari called out, seeing us and running over to us with a few others.
“Why did you leave without telling anyone?” Iida scolded. I kept a blank face. He kinda annoyed me in times like these.
Izu looked at me, basically asking me if I’m okay with telling what happened. I couldn’t just whisper to him what to say, so I took matters into my own hands. I looked at my classmates, them glancing at me.
“We went for a walk, that’s all,” I told them, partially truthfully. I didn’t wanna mention how I bit Izu, that would be too much drama, and I hated drama.
“You should’ve told someone, we were looking for you both,” Yaoyorozu chimed in. I tried not to roll my eyes in annoyment.
“Sorry, we’ll tell you next time,” Izu told them, putting up a smile. I didn’t smile, but didn’t frown either. Basically just kept a straight face.
“Whatever, no one cares,” Bakugou scoffed. “Let’s just go to the next class,” he said, rolling my eyes.
“Yeah sure,” I told him, growing a smirk across my face.
“Shut up Icy-hot,” he barked, glaring back at me. I rolled my eyes playfully.
“Yeah yeah, whatever you say BakuBitch,” I told him, smirking. He fully turned to me, about to explode with rage.
“WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU JUST CALL ME!?!?” He screamed, starting to hurt my ears again.
“Wow, didn’t know you were deaf,” I told him, walking past him with Izu. He started running at me, wanting to hit me… he didn’t get the chance to, as I turned into a bat at the right moment, not even milliseconds before he slapped me.
“To slow BakuBitch,” I smirked, turning back into myself. “Save your explosions for a better time, where you could fight. I wouldn’t waste them on me.”
“Just shut the fuck up, you Icy-hot bastard,” he scoffed, turning back around with his hands in his pockets, angrily stomping away. I didn’t say anything back to him, wanting this small feud to be over with.
The rest of the school day went by rather quickly, not too much exciting stuff happened. The time when I had Izu’s blood was the morning, and UA didn’t have blood for me (yet) so I truly struggled through the school day. I fell asleep sometimes, again, no one saying anything really about it. Most of the staff knew by now, as Aizawa-sensei told everyone during their lunch break (as I guessed).
Izu walked home with me, and asked me if he could stay another night. I doubted my father would give a single fuck if he did, especially with my case right now.
“Hi Shoto, how was school?” Fuyumi asked me as I immediately walked to the fridge.
“It was alright, irritating to start with, but aside from that, boring and easy crap,” I told her, opening the fridge and grabbing a bottle of blood.
“Here,” she said, handing me a pot.
“Thanks,” I said, taking the pot and pouring the blood into it. I set it on the stove, starting it and waiting for it to heat up.
“I see your boyfriend is here again,” Fuyumi said, smirking.
“Yeah, I wanted to stay with Sho for another night, as long as it doesn’t bother anyone,” he said timidly.
“Of course you can, it doesn’t bother me in the slightest,” she replied, smiling.
“Damn, whatever’s cooking in here is strong as fuck,” Touya popped his head into the room, the scent of warm blood starting to fill the room, which to me, was a good scent. (in my opinion).
“Just warming up blood, sorry if it bothers you…” I said, looking down. Touya came in, putting a hand on my shoulder.
“It’s okay little bro, don’t apologize for something like this,” he told me kindly.
“Okay…” was all I told him. He took his hand off of my shoulder, and turned, looking at Izu now.
“So, was there a reason in particular that you wanted to come over here again?” he asked with a smirk. I turned and slapped him, knowing the way he expected us both to take it.
“Touya stop,” I told him, glaring at him.
“Chill Sho, it’s fine,” Izu said innocently.
“Oh please, someone as innocent as him wouldn’t understand,” Touya playfully pointed at my boyfriend. I got even more pissed off.
“Shoto, chill,” Izu glanced at me, giving me ‘the glare.’ I rolled my eyes, turning back to my pot. “For your information, I clearly understood what you meant, however, that wasn’t the reason I wanted to stay over,” he said, glaring at my older brother.
“Wow, surprised,” Touya teased, Izu getting a bit annoyed with him.
“Just stop,” I told him, getting fed up with his stupid, unnecessary comments.
“Fine, I’ll shut up,” Touya stated, rolling his eyes.
The blood wasn’t done too long after Touya left. Fuyumi also left by this point, which wasn’t surprising.
But what was surprising was that Natsuo never came by to say hi yet. Typically when I came home, he’d pass on by and say hi to me. A lot of times he’d stop me and bother me… although today he didn’t… which I found really odd.
“Hey, have you seen Natsuo?” I asked Fuyumi, opening her door with the warm blood in hand.
“He said he was going out to do who-knows-what. Probably some date with his girlfriend,” she said, not glancing at me at all.
“Alright, just curious,” I told her, although I just felt the need to cause some drama. “Hey, how’s it feel being the only single in the family?”
“Shut up Shoto,” she told me straight out.
“I’m just saying,” I replied, her turning and facing me.
“Cause you’re one to talk. You were single less than 2 days ago,” she told me, her arms crossed.
“And I still would be single if this beautiful broccoli never came here yesterday,” I told her, smirking as I grabbed Izu’s hand and brought him into Fuyumi’s sight.
“Sho, that isn’t helping your case,” Izu looked up at me, blinking a few times.
“I know, but I’m just stating facts,” I told him. “Now all the guys in the family are taken, and there’s 2 times more guys than girls in the family,” I smirked at my sister, her looking more annoyed with my snarky behavior.
“I’d shut up if I were you, or I could tell your boyfriend your biggest secret. You’d be single then,” she smirked, me instantly becoming scared. ‘Oh shit, time to stop. We don’t need to reveal that’ I told myself.
“There isn’t anything that could make me break up with him,” Izu latched onto my arm. I gulped.
“There actually is, but we aren’t gonna talk about that,” I told him, kinda tense at the thought of telling him my secret.
“But there isn’t,” he told me, tilting his head curiously.
“Oh there definitely is,” Fuyumi chimed in.
“Well if you both are so confident that there is, then what is it that would make me wanna break up with him?” Izu asked curiously. I gulped again, not wanting my secret revealed.
“That’s for you to eventually find out, that is, if Shoto lets you near that place,” Fuyumi smirked. I tensed up more. Izu was very confused to say the least. He sighed.
“Fine,” he gave up, still latched onto my arm like a leech.
“An attack in lower Musutafu has just been recorded.” I looked at the TV in my sister’s room, them both looking at it as well as the news was on. “The attack injured 23 civilians in the area, along with 2 deaths. There seemed to be one kidnapped or lost, and his name is Natsuo Todoroki, son of the pro hero, Endeavor.” My heart dropped the second my brother’s name was heard. “Mika Sachiko, said to be his girlfriend, said she witnessed him get pulled away from her and dragged into a dark alleyway.”
“GUYS,” Touya ran in at lightning speed. “NATSUO IS-”
“SHUT UP,” I raised my voice. “We know…”
“Nothing has been heard from him since the kidnapping, as investigators and pros are searching the area to find him. If anyone hears anything from him, tell the pros or police immediately.” Fuyumi turned off the TV, tears streaming down her eyes. I stared at the black screen for a few moments longer, before realizing that a few tears were also leaving my eyes.
I went over to my sister, hugging her as she continued crying. I was also rather emotional, more emotional than I normally was with these kinds of situations.
I could sense how sad and angry Touya was as well, as he was also slightly shaking and broken inside. He was close with Natsuo, of course, not as close as he was with me.
But whenever I was training as a kid, he’d talk to Natsuo. Whenever he was done with training, and he couldn’t talk to me, he’d go to Natsu. Natsu was his other support person, since at that age, he didn’t believe that the women in the family did anything or understood where he was coming from.
Over time he came to be okay with Mom and Fuyumi, although he still preferred Natsu and I.
I got up, not taking no as an answer as I started walking to my room. It was probably rude to leave my two siblings alone and sad in my sister’s room, but I needed to investigate. Gather up information, because I was gonna go out tonight, and I wasn’t taking no for an answer.
“Sho, what are you doing?” Izu rushed after me. I kept jogging towards my room.
“I’m going to my computer,” I told him truthfully. He still didn’t seem satisfied with the answer.
“Why though? It has something to do with your brother, doesn’t it,” he asked as if he could read my mind. I sighed, getting to my room and closing the door behind him.
“So what if it does?” I told him, turning my desktop on and getting ready to do hours of research.
“Let me come with you then-”
“No, I’m not letting you get involved in my family drama,” I told him firmly.
“But Shoto you-”
“I can go alone, I’ll be fine. I’m not letting my brother suffer alone,” I told him, already going to the news article about the latest things being said. I scrolled down on the page, eventually coming across my brother’s name, and quickly clicked on it.
“I know, but it’ll be dangerous,” Izu told me, still so clearly worried. I turned to him, the page loading in the background, although it didn’t take too long.
“Izu please… this is the one opportunity for me to do something good, to do something useful… my new powers will help me, along with my strength and enhanced senses… I can do this,” I pleaded, wanting him to believe in me this one time.
He sighed, knowing what I wanted to hear from him. “Fine, I’ll let you go but just… be careful…”
“Thank you,” I told him, turning back in my chair and starting my research about this topic.
