The thought troubled Jade, and a frown crept upon her face. She couldn't wrap her mind around the possibilities. "If I'm not muggle-born or half-blood," she murmured aloud, her voice filled with uncertainty, "then that leaves being muggle... or... no, no there's no possible way... am I pure-blooded?"

Her words hung in the air, a mix of disbelief and realization. The notion of being pure-blooded seemed far-fetched and yet, it was the only remaining possibility. A mix of emotions flooded through Jade – surprise, confusion, and a sense of belonging she had never experienced before. Snape merely nodded.

"But I was adopted by muggles... Daphne had told me when I first got here, 'no pure-blood would give away their children, let alone to muggles'" Jade informed him.

Snape sat in silence, allowing the weight of the information to settle within him. The evidence pointing to Jade's birth parents was becoming increasingly substantial. Yet, Snape was cautious not to give false hope or relay incorrect information. As a result, all he could do was acknowledge the situation with a simple nod, refraining from further speculation or discussion.

"That just means you were not given to them," he stated firmly, his voice filled with a mix of concern and curiosity.

His piercing gaze was fixed upon Jade, waiting for a response. But instead of delving further into the topic, he abruptly shifted the focus, a calculated move to provoke deeper reflection.

"But the real question you should be asking at this point is who took you from your magical parents?" Snape's words hung in the air, leaving her with a sense of unease and a whirlwind of thoughts.

As he turned away, leaving her to ponder his words, she felt a surge of curiosity and a growing urgency to seek the truth.

~With Harry and his friends~

Harry, Hermione, and Ron had been in the library for the last fifteen minutes when they'd been caught in the restricted section of the library and got kicked out. The next day as the students who weren't staying were leaving they spotted Jade Green who left with the same look of sadness they'd seen on her face when she slapped Malfoy. Harry chuckled a bit as he remembered the look on the blonde's face.

"Wonder why she looks so sad?" said Harry and Ron at the same time.

Hermione shrugged. "You will keep looking while I'm away, won't you?" said Hermione. "And send me an owl if you find anything." She hugged them before she too left the school.

~Time skip with Jade~

Upon approaching the Green's house, Jade noticed an owl with a letter attached to its foot that resembled the one Lucius had given her. As the owl landed on her shoulder it gave her the letter.

"Dear Jade,

I really am sorry for what I said. I know it was thoughtless, but please forgive me. I would have said this in person, but you left before I could get to.

Regarding your upcoming visit to your muggle 'parents', I have spoken to Father, who has given his approval for you to spend Christmas with us if you so desire. In the event that something happens during your visit and you do not wish to spend the entirety of Christmas with them, you are free to join us instead. Though we do hope for the best, it is always wise to be prepared for any outcome.

P.s,

Snape told me you're a Pureblood, Congrats!
