Dinner was great, the tension I had started to feel right before getting into the restaurant went away pretty quickly. The boys eager to catch me up on their hike up the mountain. The three of them did take their sweet time on their hike, taking time to take pictures of one another. Of course they had to do that, for the sakes of their social media.

The upside of that is that they had enough images to give me a better view of what I had missed. They even passed a small frozen waterfall on the way up and I made them promise that when my knee is feeling better, they'd show it to me. In my turn, I showed them different pictures I had taken while riding the skilift. The view from above just as breathtaking as the view they had on their hike.

Which brings us to right now, the four of us still in the restaurant, finishing our drinks. "You're paying Leclerc." Esteban says finishing his drink.

"Yeah, I'll pay. But at least I don't have to walk all the way down." He says, taking his wallet out of his pocket. Charles stands up, walking up to the bar to pay for our dinner.

"The two of you gonna be okay?" Pierre asks, knowing very well that we'll probably be in the same cabin going down.

"Sure, don't have to talk to him if I don't want to right."

"Lie." Pierre sighs.

"I know, we might need to talk everything through sometime. But I don't think being on a skilift is enough time to talk through it all." I explain and Pierre just nods.

"Just try not to kill each other." Esteban chuckles, mingling into our conversation.

"I couldn't kill him, even if I wanted to." I say.

"Kill who?" Charles voice sounds from behind me.

Fuck.

"Kill you." Esteban says with a smirk on his face. Charles just shakes his head, laughing at me as he does so.

"It was figure of speech." I try and defend myself, making the three boys laugh even more.

"Whatever you say princess." Charles says, going back to the nickname he gave me earlier this week. I shoot him a glare, letting him know I am so not accepting this name calling.

The four of us leave the restaurant, walking of to the skilift all together.

"What do you say Pierre, should we take the skilift too?" Esteban suggests as Charles is about to buy his ticket, I've already got mine from going up, so no need to buy one for me.

"Sounds good." Pierre says. "Three tickets that is Leclerc!" He says to Charles.

"Seriously?" Charles spits, I can actually see him getting angry. "First you let me pay for your dinner only to not go walk down the mountain?"

Pierre and Esteban look at each other, clearly aware that they may have touched a nerve on this one. Pierre slowly moves behind me, as I notice what he's doing. "Oh you're not getting out of this that easy, P." I say stepping to the side.

"You paid for dinner already just buy the two extra tickets down." Pierre says. "You're the one with the megacontract anyway."

Charles raises his eyes once more, before shaking his head. "Fine, but you're paying for the rest of the year." He mutters, walking to the register to pay for three tickets.

The next morning, my knee is even more sore than it was yesterday. I hiss as I stretch my leg out in my bed. The soreness even more present. I try to bend and stretch it a few times, the ache never really getting less.

So much for taking things slow.

I slowly move to my closet, grabbing a sport bra and football shorts. Let's hope that swimming can get rid of some of the soreness. I put a sweater over my sports bra, and the brace back on my knee.
