Charles' POV

"You should've gone into racing." I say jokingly as Amelie and I park the snowmobiles at the rental facility.

"Ugh, no. Just too much testosteron." She says smiling. "I prefer the wonderful world of football."

"Like there's not way too much testosteron in football." I counter, dismissing her comment.

"Need I to remind you that I play in a women's team, in a women's league? If anything there's a lack of testosteron there."

"Good point." I help her get off of the snowmobile before we go to return the keys inside the small office. "So, dinner?" I chuckle to myself as the words leave my lips. "I mean Pierre and Esteban probably won't be ready for a while. I figured maybe we could go for dinner together?"

"Relax Charles." She says, smiling brighter than she's done yet this week. "I'd love to go to dinner with you. Just the two of us." The last words barely audible and I shoot her a smile as we take in our surroundings.

There's a small, romantic looking restaurant on this mountain top. That would be too much wouldn't it? However, it seems like Amelie can read my mind, as she points in the direction of the small restaurant. "We could go there for dinner?" She suggests and I just nod. Just as we're about to walk towards it, Amelie's phone starts ringing. She looks at the screen. "I've got to take it, it's PSG." She says and I nod, watching as she goes to stand a little further away from me.

I take the time to look at my phone screen, a message from Pierre on my screen.

Pierre: seems like you and my sister are having fun? :)

A link to an article describing our afternoon activities is added to the message. I can feel myself getting annoyed already. I take a few deep breaths, necessary for me to calm myself down. I look over my shoulder seeing that Amelie is still talking on the phone. I unlock my phone screen again, sending a quick reply to Pierre.

Charles: had a blast on the snowmobiles! should do it with the four of us again :) We're going to grab dinner now, you guys good?

I tuck my phone away, knowing they'd probably be good, right in time for Amelie to return. "Let's get dinner." She says smiling, taking my hand in hers, softly tugging me towards the restaurant.

I couldn't help but feel like our hands fit into each other perfectly. The woman working at the restaurant welcomes us, before guiding us to one of the tables along the windows. A wonderful view of the snowy mountains being the background to this dinner.

"I know you're used to being in the spotlight and all. But I want to tell you that there's articles about us again. We've been spotted today, the things they're suggesting aren't nice." I say while we're waiting for our first course. I just needed to tell her, the article was about her too.

"I know." She says softly, twisting her fingers as she does. "That's what the phone call was about. Apparently me hanging out with you is making my team's PR department working extra hours." A small smile appearing on her face.

"Are you okay though?" I ask sincerely, if it's hurting me that they're suggesting we're hanging out to hurt Arthur. She must be hurting too.

"Kind of. I really enjoy hanging out with you, C. I won't stop hanging out with you because they write hateful articles." She says, her voice fragile but sincere. "Besides, this is basically our second date." Her voice teasingly dangerous as the words leave her lips.

"I thought you didn't even acknowledge the first one as a date." I point out.

"Well maybe I changed my mind." She laughs, a genuine one, making me laugh as well.
