Charles' POV - February 5 2023

"Pierre, please." I beg over the phone. "I know she's playing in Monaco tomorrow. I just need someone to come with. You're the only one to make things look less suspicious."

In all honesty, I haven't seen Amelie in almost a month. She's playing against the Monaco Women team and I just need to go and watch. I just can't go alone, because that would make rumours start again immediately.

"I can't I've got sim training tomorrow. Besides I'm not even in Monaco." He points out resulting in a deep sigh from me.

Any other person I could ask would raise suspicions. Mostly because we've kept to ourselves. No one except for Esteban and Pierre know. And maybe some of her friends, but in general we've been quiet. Well I could ask Carlos, because he's definitely onto us. Because he's pointed out multiple times that I tend to smile at my phone.

"Fine. I'll find someone else." I mutter into the phone resulting in a chuckle from Pierre.

"Don't be so dramatic. She does know that you're coming right?"

"Yes, I asked her for tickets. She send them to me." I just got to find someone that'll join me. I say my goodbyes to Pierre, before making my way through the Ferrari building to where I know Carlos should be.

"Carlos, just the guy I was looking for." I say smiling widely as I enter his office.

"Oh no. What have you gotten yourself into?"

"Nothing, I was just wondering how you felt about going to a football match tomorrow. In Monaco."

"You're kidding right?" Carlos asks shaking his head. "You want me to come to your brother's ex's football game?"

"Well if you word it like that it sounds like a terrible plan." I chuckle. "But yeah that's pretty much it."

"Ask Arthur. I can't, and he deserves to know what is happening here." I sigh, knowing my teammate is definitely right here. But I also know that Arthur is definitely not ready to find out that Amelie and I have been a bit more than friends.

"Fine." I leave his office again, on my way to find my brother who's been here in Maranello as well as part of the Ferrari driver academy.

I move through the building, knowing this might be the most difficult conversation I've ever had with him. He was completely broken when he and Amelie broke up, and the way it happened was ruthless. However, she's told me more about how and why it happened, and I can now empathise. It might seem weird, but I just hope Arthur will be able to forgive me.

I knock on the door I know belongs to the Ferrari Driver Academy, silently hoping that Arthur is actually in there and that he's alone. My hopes are crushed when I hear the British accent of Ollie Bearman yelling that I could come in. Slowly opening the door, I see both Ollie and Arthur sitting there.

"Uh... Hi." I stammer, I hadn't really thought past this point. "Arthur can we talk?"

Arthur looks just as confused as I am feeling right now, however complies to what I just asked him as he follows me out the door. We go into one of the offices I know won't be used this late in the day. "So what's this thing you need to talk to me about?" He asks me, leaning against the conference table.

"Uhm so you know how Amelie and I reconciled?" Arthur just nods, of course he knows. He was furious when he saw the articles when we were on training camp. "Well we've gotten quite good friends in the mean time and I want to go to a football match of hers tomorrow. She's playing in Monaco, I've got two tickets and I was wondering if you'd want to come with."
