Lexy and Denis have left, well I basically shoved them out.
Jake : So are we gonna continue?
Devon : Unfortunately not. We have to actually study and actually do well on the "non-assessed project" on how religion impacts on societies expectations or prejudice of people.
Jake : ...I'm gonna fail!
Devon : Luckily for you it's a partner-project.
Jake : My hero.
Devon : So cmon!
He threw a textbook at me.
Jake : What am I supposed to do with this?
Devon : What do people usually do with books?! Jesus help me.
Jake : What pages?
Devon : ...all of it?
Jake : ALL OF IT?!
I lifted it up and showed him the myriad of pages.
Jake : Is this a fucking dictionary because they could fit seven different dialects in this fucker!
Devon : To be fair that book probably weighs more than me... but! No excuses!
Jake : And what will you be doing?
Devon : I'll be counting the oxygen atoms in the room.
Jake : Funny.
I retorted sarcastically.
We both took a seat at the desk.
Jake : No but seriously, what are you gonna be doing because I'm not doing all the work!
Devon : Fine! We can... read it together?
I opened the cover and turned to page 1.
He sighed.
Devon : You're really gonna make me do this?
Jake : IT WAS YOUR IDEA FOR ME TO DO IT!
He huffed.
It was super apparent that he was just zoned out.
Until-
I feel a familiar warming sensation crawling up my leg.
Jake : So now you wanna continue?!
He shoved his hand away and pretended to be reading.
Devon : Hmm?
Jake : Don't play dumb, it isn't cute.
Devon : I don't know what you-
I shoved my hand up his shirt.
