Library duties

It's been a while since I had asked about the student job in the library, yet there was still no word from the librarian. She said she would contact me, maybe she found someone more suitable for the job.

I open the doors and walk inside looking around for the sweet old lady that had offered me the position. After a couple of minutes I found her stocking some of the shelves. "Oh my, you scared me!" She let out a laugh with her hand on her heart.

"I'm so sorry" I bowed.

"No worries, I'm assuming your here because you haven't heard from me?" She asked starting to walk away, in which I began to follow her.

"I sent a paper to one of your teachers yesterday but I think there was some kind of mix up and it didn't get to you."

"Oh okay"

"All it was saying is that you for the requirements and you can start as soon as you'd like!"

"Really?"

"Yeah! Are you busy now?"

"Um- now! Yeah no I'm not busy" the school day had just ended but there were still students here. They were probably just hanging out or doing extra curricular activities.

"Great, you can just get one of those badges over there that way if people have questions they can ask you. We'll start training another day even though it's not difficult at all, today you'll just be restocking the books in the correct shelf that matches the authors name"

"Okay sounds fun" I gave her a smile as I place the badge on the waist band of my skirt.

She went off to go finish some other things that she said needed to be done asap. I grabbed onto the cart of books and started pushing it. It was way heavier than I expected it to be, maybe I should start working out.

I started to get the hang of my task quickly after I started it, she's right it really wasn't hard at all.

"Boo!" I felt two delicate hands grab onto my shoulder.

I turn around and see Soomin looking at my face for some kind of reaction.

"Ahh!" I faked a small sarcastic scream, to which she rolled her eyes at me playfully.

"What's up?" I ask her still looking at the books and their correct spots.

"Nothing really, just came to see you on your first day of work."

"Oh you saw my text?" I said laughing

"Yeah" she laughed back.

She started talking to me about random things in which I tried to follow along without getting distracted. I was trying to multitask because I didn't want to get fired on my first day. She started rambling about again, going on about how perfect Heeseung was and how she wishes he would notice her more. She was honestly the perfect girlfriend, she's caring, smart, sweet, loyal, and not to mention a literal goddess. He would be a fool to not notice her.

"Why don't you just ask him to hang out or something? Maybe you need to be more direct about your feelings. He's probably just clueless" I saw walking over to the counter so I could check out some random students book.
