Addy knocked on Brooklyn's door. "Hey guys. We got Citizen Z on the big screen," she said. From the other side of the door, Brooklyn said, "Awesome. We'll be right out." 10K was looking at their door when Brooklyn kissed him on his cheek. "Thank you 10K," she said softly. Then she got out of bed and joined the rest of the group. 10K came soon after. In the computer room, all of the computer screens showed an image of Citizen Z. He waved at Brooklyn. "Hey!" She said. "Hey," Citizen Z said. "So here's the rest of the gang! I'm so glad you all made it! Due to the recent updates I've made, I am 70% sure that the hospital you need to go to is in Lawrence, Kansas. I got a transmission from there yesterday and-" "No offense dude, but uhm...I think we might stay here a while longer," 10K said. Everyone in the group smiled. Citizen Z looked shocked. "You must be 10K," he said in a different tone. 10K nodded. "Know that I may be small and weak, but I can still kick your ass," Citizen Z said. "I don't understand," 10K said. "You better take care of my sister okay? Brooklyn needs to be safe. And if she ever gets hurt, you're the man I'm going to kill first," he said. Brooklyn turned completely red. 10K just smirked as he looked at Brooklyn. "Wait, I have a message coming in from Kansas," Citizen Z said. He started looking at his new message a typing on his keyboard to open it up. While he was typing, he said, "Oh Brook? How's Dad and-" the image became completely black. "Hey what happened?" Warren said. "The signal must have cut off," Brook said quickly. 10K saw her shoes wrapped around a cord that was now unplugged. He didn't know why, but she cut the signal. Addy cursed under her breath. Brooklyn pushed her chair out and walked away. He decided to follow her. He had to push past Mac to get to her. He grabbed her wrist gently to stop her. "Hey, what's wrong?" He asked. "Nothing...I'm just bummed that the connection broke," she lied. "I saw you take the cord out," he said quietly. She pulled them into a dark room and shut the door. Only a small light from a crack in the wall made the room visible. She realized that they were really close and she could feel his warm breath on her skin, she felt her face get red. "I didn't tell him about my dad and sister," she said. "He thinks they are still with me." "Brooklyn, you need to tell him," he said. "I wouldn't be able to stand the pain in his eyes! I think it'd be better if I just didn't say anything to him about it. That way I'm technically not lying," she said. He grabbed her arm, "But it means that he is still living on a lie. Do you want that for your brother?" He asked. She shook her head in the dark. "Why are you always right 10K?" She asked jokingly. He softly laughed and said, "Tommy," he said. "What?" "My real name is Tommy. I wanted you to know that," he said. He rested his hand on the side of her face and kissed her forehead gently. Then he walked out of the room.
