Everyone seemed more relaxed knowing that they were going to stay their in the paradise. It all seemed so perfect that no one could really believe it. They had a 15 year supply of food and water, games, comfort, clothes, and each other. Brooklyn felt complete. She now had a family, and they wouldn't leave her. 10K wouldn't leave her. Delta X Ray Delta thought that they were lucky to meet Brooklyn because they were finally safe, but really, Brooklyn was lucky because she didn't have to be alone. She didn't need the normal world back once again, she just needed them. She sat down at a table across from Murphy who was messing with a card deck. "What do you want to play?" She asked. He smiled up at her, "Any good at poker?" He asked. "Deal me up," she said. Brook won the first round with a three of a kind against a full house. Murphy had betted with gummy bears, and by the time the night was over, he didn't have anymore gummies. "I win again," Brook said. "Who taught you how to play?" He asked. "I taught myself. The poker channel might have helped," she said. He threw his cards down. 10K walked over and laughed, "Wow! Has Brook beaten the poker champion?" "She's become the poker champion," Murphy said. Murphy got out of his chair and groaned, "I'll see you two tomorrow," he said as he headed to his bedroom. Everyone went back to their rooms to so they could go to bed. 10K stayed back with Brooklyn. Once everyone was gone, he took her hand and pulled her into a room. "I have a surprise for you," he said. "You know that room you took me into to talk about your sister and dad?" He turned on the room's light. "It turns out that it was actually a theatre room," he said. Brooklyn looked around and the lit up room to see a few couches and a sheet on a wall. He took her over to the couch that was closest to the screen. He let go of her hand and he headed to the back of the room. Inside of the wall, there was a small ledge that held an old projector. He adjusted some buttons on the machine and a bright light came off of it's lens. She looked at the sheet in front of her to see Casa Blanca playing in black and white. She gasped at the moving pictures. He walked up next to her, "Addy helped me fix it. Sadly, Casa Blanca is the only movie it plays. But it's a classic so I think we should be able to live with it," he said with a smile. She threw her arms around him and hugged him. "Thank you, Tommy," she said. He hugged her back. She looked into his gray eyes which seemed to be shining brighter than usual. She gripped his shirt and pulled him towards her as she kissed him. Their eyes were closed and their hearts were pounding. 10K got quick flashes of his nightmare last night of Brooklyn as a zombie. She was trying to attack him. Because of his quick reflexes, he grabbed his knife without thought, and the blade made a cut a scrap across her face. She instantly let go and threw her hands up to the cut to catch the blood that was dripping out. She looked up at him in fear. 10K regained consciousness and looked at the fearful girl. He was first confused, but once he saw his bloody knife, everything came back to him. He dropped the knife on the floor. His hands were covered in Brooklyn's pure blood. "Oh my god. Brooklyn I'm so-" Brooklyn ran out of the room and went to her dorm. She slammed her door shut which woke many people up.
