Everyone in Delta X Ray Delta knew that they needed to leave. Brook hadn't come out of her room in hours, and she didn't respond to any of them. Warren had told Brook that they were leaving, but even then, nothing inside her room made a noise. "Man, I'm gonna miss this place," Addy said as she looked around. Mac put his arm over her shoulder and they walked out. Warren followed them after Doc and Murphy. 10K followed all of them out of the building. Every hall was filled with a memory of her, and he couldn't stop the flashbacks. He was the last one to go past the gate. Pulling down the metal barricade, he began to tear up. Warren made sure to lock it so Brook would be safe. No one said another word to each other until they got to their black truck. 10K never took his eyes off of the building. The nighttime fell soon enough. 10K couldn't sleep, Brook wasn't there so how could he even try to rest? He hoped someone was on the frequency as he turned the radio on so he didn't have to be so alone. There was someone having a conversation on the radio, and he recognized the voice immediately. It was Brook talking to her brother Citizen Z.

"I-I have to talk to you about something," Brook said. Citizen Z had a cheerful voice as he said, "Yeah! What is it?" "It's about Dad and our sister Crissy." Citizen Z could hear that her voice was dry and coarse, as if she was crying. "Brook, what's wrong?" "I'm so sorry Simon! They're dead! They died two years ago! I'm so sorry that I didn't tell you before! But someone told me that you couldn't live on a lie anymore so I knew that I needed to tell you. I'm so sorry," she said. She could hear Simon (Citizen Z) crying on the other line. She cried with him for a few minutes. "I'm so sorry," she repeated. When she wiped her tears and looked up at her computer screens, and she noticed a change. All of the rooms were normal except her weaponry room. It was filled with a group of zombies that were slowly coming her way. "Oh god. Simon! The weapons room has zombies. Oh my god. And there's nothing to block them from me," she said. Simon yelled into the radio, "Brook! Don't leave me! Please don't go!" She began to cry, "I'm so sorry! I love you so much big brother! I don't have any weapons in these rooms," she said. Simon just cried on the other line, for once in his life, there was nothing he could do. "Please Simon, don't cry! We knew that I couldn't survive this. Don't cry... You and so many people have given me a wonderful life. I had an amazing family! And another perfect family that lasted a week. I made it this far. And-and I fell in love. It's an amazing feeling you only get once Simon. And I felt it. Please don't cry for me. I had an amazing life," she said. "No! Don't say anything like that. Say something different," Simon said. "Don't say goodbye. Say something else." She wiped her tears as she started to hear the rush of zombies, "That night. That night I spent with him. The sky had never been prettier. It was beautiful! God it was beautiful!" She said tearfully. She hung up the radio and began to run. Unfortunately, a zombie saw her and began running really fast towards her. She ran into her room and waited for the zombie to come in. The z came into her room to find it empty. The door shut behind it and Brook, who was hiding behind the door, swung the base of a lamp at it's head. But it didn't kill it, no it didn't even fall to the ground. Zombies were pounding on her door, and there had to be at least 15 flesh eating corpses on the other side of the only exit in that room. The zombie in her room glared at her; it's now deformed face was even worse than what it looked like before. One of its eyes had exploded across it's corroding skin. It had blood that was mixed with the white glaze on it's face, and it sprayed everywhere when the creature screeched. It began to run towards her. She backed up and locked herself in the bathroom. With quick thinking, she twisted off the pump on the shampoo bottle. Using its slightly sharp edge, she opened the door and buried the needle in the destroyed eye. It flew back to the zombie's brain and punctured it. She stabbed it repeatedly until it stopped squirming. Her jacket helped absorb the blood on her face when she wiped her sleeve across her cheek. She walked out of the bathroom to hear nothing. There wasn't the slightest peep, no zombie growls. All that was left was a huge puddle of dead man's blood that was leaking through her door. She armed herself with her flashlight and slightly opened the door. Her movements were so slow that the door didn't dare to creak. She couldn't breathe as a bloody hand gripped the side of the door and pushed it towards her. She screamed as she was thrown back a bit. Because of her instinct, she attacked the beast with her flashlight. But it wasn't a beast. "What the hell Brook?" It yelled.
