After killing the rest of the zombies, 10K leaned against the door and slid down next to the other girl. They were both out of breath. "Thanks," he said. Warren, being the leader, bent down in front of the girl to ask her questions. "Who are you?" She asked first. "I'm Brooklyn," she said breathily. "How did you know who we are? And why did you save us?" "Citizen Z. He told me about your mission and said that you were coming here for rest. I was waiting for you all. And I couldn't let actual life die without me helping," she said. Warren stood up, "Well, thank you, Brooklyn. I'm Roberta Warren. That's 10K, Addy, Mac, Doc, and....Murphy," she said. Brooklyn smiled a bit. "It's nice to know that you guys all made it," she said. Warren smiled back, "Well, most of us did," she said. Brooklyn stood up, "Well, here you guys are my guests, so if you need anything, I gotcha covered," she said. "Here, I'll show you guys to your rooms," she said. Inside the building they were now in, it seemed like a military hotel. It wasn't super fancy, but to the group, it seemed like heaven. There was a long corridor with eight rooms, four on each side. "This first room is off limits. It's my bedroom, so please, unless you need me, don't go in there," she said. The room across from hers she gave to 10K. The room next to hers, Room 3, was Warrant's. Room 4 was Murphy's. Room 5 was Addy's and Mac's. And Room 6 was Doc's. "In the closets, there are some clean clothes for you all. It might not fit but it's something to wear if you want to wash your current clothing. Each room has it's own bathroom. It has a shower and a bathtub, just try not to steal all the hot water," Brooklyn told them. They all seemed psyched about the showers. She also showed them their food pantry and the room they would be eating in. There was also a party room with a radio, pool table, and lounging chairs. After their small tour, everyone went their separate ways. Brooklyn headed to the computer room while the group took showers and slept. 10K had put on some clean clothes. He had a V-neck with a cargo jacket over it, jeans, and some sneakers. He headed down to where Brooklyn was to ask her a question he had been pondering over. "Hey Brook?" He asked. She didn't hear him coming so she jumped a bit in surprise. "Oh, hey 10K," she said, not looking up at him. "I had a question," he said awkwardly. She got off of her machine and said, "Alright. Shoot." She looked up at him and softly smiled at what he was wearing. "When I first saw you, you looked at me. And not just any look, it was as if you were longing for me. Well not longing for ME but..." He couldn't find an ending to his sentence. She turned a bit red, "Oh, well, I haven't seen anyone that didn't have flesh in their teeth for three years. It was nice to know that I wasn't alone in this hell," she said with a smirk. He smiled back and turned around to walk away. "Hey, uhm, 10K? I thought what you did about that zombie, Cassandra, that was really brave," she said. He turned around with sorrowful eyes. "I was impressed that you could do something like that to someone you knew," she said thoughtfully. He began to have tears in his eyes, "I loved her," he said and walked away.
