It's year 5 A.Z. Just a few days ago, Citizen Z sent a message to the remains of Delta X Ray Delta. In the message, he said that there was a new location for them to take Patient Zero to. He also gave them directions to a building where they would be safe, but the rest of the message was cut from the lack of reception. Now the group was in Colorado headed towards the building. All that was left of the group was Warren, Murphy, 10K, Doc, Addy, and Mac. And behind them was a parade of bloody zombies. 10K had already used all of his ammunition and they didn't have many options. Using their limited resources, they managed to kill half of the z's that were on their tails. "We can't just keep running forever," Doc yelled to Warren. "We don't have to! Look!" Addy said as she pointed to the building Citizen Z wanted them to go to. Warren smiled, "Alright. Hurry up inside," she said. But they came to realize that once they were in the building, there was no way to block the zombies that were still following them. They were forced to split up and go down different hallways. Warren was with Doc, Addy was with Mac and Murphy, and 10K was by himself. 10K had two z's to take care of, but he had no ideas. BANG! BANG! Two gun shots flew by his ear and landed in both of the zombie's heads. They fell down onto the cement floor as 10K spun around to see who in their group had saved him. But it wasn't anyone he recognized. There was instead young girl who had two guns, one in each hand. Her black hair was pulled back into a ponytail, she wore a black tank top and army print pants, and she had combat boots that had spikes on the heels. She seemed to have an expression that reminded him of longing as she looked at him. She snapped out of her gaze and tossed a gun to 10K and started shooting more z's that were coming their direction. "Follow me," she said. So he ran with her, turning back now and then to shoot. They got to a cliff and he stopped immediately. "Jump!" she told him. "What? I'm not jumping over that!" "Trust me!" "Why should I?" "I just freaking saved your ass!" He shook his head. "Sorry then," she said as she pushed him off the cliff.
To his surprise, he landed on another hallway that was separated by a ditch. The girl was on the other side of the ditch. "Go!" She yelled. He began to run and she jumped across the deep hole. Five z's fell through the ditch and died. Ten were still chasing them. Now the girl was ahead of 10K, and she opened up a garage gate to let them in. She shut it and took a deep breath. "We have to go back! My friends are back there," he said. "Oh my god do you ever shut up? Give me a minute," she said as she grabbed a huge gun. She opened up a hole in the garage door and put the nose of the gun through it. She shot all of the ten z's through the hole before she turned around and walked into another room. "Aren't you going to help my group?" He asked. But because she was so annoyed with his questions, she decided not to answer. Inside the room she was in, there was about 20 computer screens connected together, and each showed a room or hallway in the building. On the sixth screen, 10K could see some of his group running. "There!" He said and pointed to it. The girl grabbed an intercom microphone and pressed a button, "Attention Delta X Ray Delta. You all need to listen to me. I see a group of three people, you guys need to go to the hallway on the right until you see a hallway with a ditch in it. Jump over it and you will land safely on the other side. The group of two, you guys need to head up that staircase and go through the door that says exit, you will see two hallways, take the left one, then take a right. You will see the hallway with a ditch, jump over it and you will land safely on the other side. I will assist both groups after you jump," she said and turned the intercom off. Both groups could hear the message. "Who is that?" Doc asked. "I don't know but it's the best chance we've got," Warren responded with. Mac and Addy thought they should listen to the girl but Murphy thought otherwise. "Why should we trust Citizen Z? This building obviously won't keep us safe. And I don't trust the intercom girl either. I think we should just head back! We lost all of the zombies," he whined. "But we don't know if Warren and Doc are doing what she said. We might as well try," Mac said. "And I trust Citizen Z. I think we should try it," Addy said. "Fine! I'll just go on my own," Murphy said. Mac grabbed his arm in time, "Oh no! You're coming with us," he said. Both groups made it to the hallway with the ditch. But now they weren't so sure if they should jump over it or not. They couldn't see the other side well. "They won't jump," 10K said to the girl. From the computers, the two could see some zombies coming towards the other group. "We need to help them," she said as she got up from her seat. She ran to the ditch and saw the 5 standing there. They could vaguely see her, "Hey! You guys need to jump! You have a bunch of z's coming!" 10K came up next to her, "Come on!" He said. Addy was the first to jump over, then Mac, Doc, Murphy and finally Warren. They all could hear the zombies coming, and there was a lot of them! She opened the door for them and got them all in. But the zombies had made it before they shut it all the way, and they were also breaking it down. 10K opened up the hole in the door and began shooting as the girl started shooting the ones coming through the bottom of the door. They managed to shut the door but there were still a lot of zombies left. 10K kept shooting until he saw a zombie that looked familiar. Of course, it couldn't be true. But it looked so much like it. It looked like Cassandra. Not the lively one he once knew, the zombified girl that he last saw her as. He couldn't shoot her. "What are you doing?" The girl yelled. "I can't shoot her," he said. "It's just a zombie!" She said. "But, it's Cassandra," he said softly. "Kid, you need to shoot her, if you don't, then I will," she said. He looked down at the girl, she was trying to keep the door from breaking. He looked back at Cassandra who was right in front of the gun, and he sent mercy through her head.
