I groggily shot up, spitting out sand, not really knowing what was going on.
"What the-" I was on a beach, but not any of the ones at home. My boat was wrecked and my belongings were all washed up on the shore. Memories of the previous night flooded my brain.
I gasped, worried the heart might have fallen out of the necklace, I grabbed the heirloom around my neck. Sighing in relief seeing the heart safe and sound without even a speck of sand on it, I got up.
Well attempted to.
A strong arm wrapped around my waist stopped me from moving any further. A fiery blush crept up onto my face.
"Neteyam, politely I ask, get your hands off me," I shook him violently, only earning groans in response. "Ugh," I shook the sand from my face and hair before forcefully pulling away from the still knocked out coconut boy. I stomped over to the ocean, anger filling my mind.
"Um, WHAT?!" I shouted dramatically in all directions of the water surrounding the small island. "I said help us! And WRECKING MY BOAT?! NOT HELPING!" I went to kick the wave out of frustration, only to trip and fall when my foot didn't meet the cool water.
Oh you are sneaky Ara, yes you are.
I grunted, quickly returning to my feet, trying to pretend nothing happened.
"Fish pee in you all day!" I pointed accusingly at Ara who I could just tell was cackling her little watery head off. "SO... MMMGG!" I groaned in anger, words failing me.
"Wow, now that is one way to wake up," Neteyam had watched the whole thing, propped up on one elbow, smirking. I deadpanned at him.
"No one asked for your input..."
