Hi! long time no see, W.D. is officially discontinued. But, it doesn't mean I still can't interact with the fandom<3 Anyways, I ramble.

Percy, after the events of the Titan's curse. After Zoe becomes a constellation, Percy gets really into Astrology to cope. (He's like 14? 13?. Let him be, he's enough of an outcast as he is.).

I'd imagine he wouldn't believe in the whole horoscopes and personalities, and all that; but, he would just do copious amounts of research and be able to perfectly name every star sign in the sky, reading the moon phases, following Polaris/the northern star, maybe even reading old fashioned compasses.

(I refuse to believe this boy, just gets, automatically perfect at reading directions and crap on a ship, moving the boat? Following a vague vibe or his general instincts that usually go in the right path on the water? Sure! But exact altitudes(whatever, axes) and all that numbers x and y nonsense, Nah, I do feel like it would make more sense if he had some general knowledge or research done beforehand that he applies to sea travel.

Then again, I'm not knowledgeable about astrology or directions. (Westwards where?! I only know up, down, right, and left. )

He probably studies the old Greek mythology star signs first, but those are thousands of years old according to the pjo timeline and pretty scientifically inaccurate. So he would, afterward, consult with other C.H.B members, especially the Athena cabin(I think the Athena cabin was cool with Artemis's huntresses(like their patrons r both maiden goddesses, it makes sense.), and learn about the modern(or modern to him) star signs and all that.

He would definitely be mad that Zoe the Huntress isn't official in all the sources he studies.

Idk where I'm going, to be honest.

WAIT, this relates to when on the Argo II—he has an infamous comedic conversation with Leo about astrology signs, and the boy knows loud and clear that he's a Leo.

Emphasis on the fact that Percy barely knows what's going on when the world is ending, and he barely knows himself-(as seen in his copious self-doubt hidden thinly behind his self-deprecating sarcastic style of commentary, this boy barely knows how to spell his own name right(dyslexic), and even forgot his first one month date anniversary. Nevermind, that he's ADHD, A D H D, the primary example of selective memory with useless info and terrible filters. )

And he knows his horoscope?! Where and how did he know about that?!

(I only knew when I searched Google with my birth date, but him?! ) HE'S LITERALLY PERMANENTLY BANNED FROM THE INTERNET CUS MONSTERS WILL EAT HIM.

So.. that begs the question. How does he know? Exactly. He had an astrology phase following the loss of a great friend in prophecy, and his lifelong companion of a sword is literally passed down from that very friend(Zoe).

Like he lost one of his good friends permanently, (several, on that quest) and he, a preteen little boy just experienced loss and trauma and filicide (that he deliberately can not control, that he has to watch his friends die and there's nothing he can do) for the first time. He's gotta have some sort of coping magnetism, some sort of escapism, (or is it self-punishment), some sort of way to process his grief and let him mourn.

The thing about him; he's loyal to a fault— he loves and he loves so very deeply. He gets attached and protective quickly to whoever strays he picks up. (just look at Son of Neptune, Percy was buddying up to Frank and Hazel so quickly and they just had perfect teamwork and spilled with each other secrets, just like that? So quickly?!)
