Sarah slapped a hand over her face before looking at Carson with an unbelievable expression as Ruben tried to stifle his laughter at the two of them. Ayesha smacked them both on the back of their heads before smiling at me with a reassuring glint being held in her expression.
Ignoring them, I looked towards Ayesha, "Should I call her over now?" I asked a bit unsure since I've obviously never done this before.
"No. Just keep it natural..." Ayesha confirmed as she seemed genuine about what she had been trying to tell me. She seemed to think about something for a moment before she decided to continue her words based on the topic, "Weren't you supposed to see her?"
Nodding, I soon responded, "Actually we were going to be hanging out in her room before going to an amusement park down the street if it's open." I watched as Ruben let out a dramatic gasp as if he suddenly just had the most brilliant idea in the world come to him.
"Spit it out idiot." Sarah hissed as Ruben pressed a kiss to her cheek before he clapped and looked at me with a huge grin.
He started to stand and tapped the side of his head twice, "I'm so smart! You should just surprise her with it when you go see her in her room."
Penn snorted as Carson turned around from where she sat to throw him a dumbfounded look. "I'm sure that we all were thinking that," Carson said as she raised a brow at Ruben who just waved her answer off in dismissal.
"Yeah but no one said that so..." Ruben defended as he sat beside Sarah who shook her head at him.
Pointing a finger of agreement in his direction, Penn nodded, "He's not wrong." Carson threw him a glare but all he did was shrug before he proceeded to talk with no care, "He isn't. We all could've been thinking about the obvious but he was the only person to bring it up."
"That is true." Ayesha confirmed as she gestured for me to stand as I did so, "Just go and get it done with G."
I tilted my head to the side a bit dumbfounded from the new nickname but nodded as I listened to her and headed for the door listening in as the others continued to wish me luck on the moment.
Heading towards Brooke's room, I knocked before waiting for someone to answer.
Chelsea opened the door and let a small smile come into place as I furrowed my brows at her appearance, "Hi Grace..." She held a teasing and somewhat of a low tone within her words as I just let it be.
"Hi Chelsea..." I greeted as I looked behind her and tried to search for Brooke but was unable to do so since she was still blocking the view that I had into the room at the moment. "Where's Brooke?"
As if she had been standing there all along, Brooke appeared from behind Chelsea and moved her so she could now stand outside of the room as she pulled me in. "Hi Grace," She greeted as she smiled up at me.
I smiled in return and was about to speak until Chelsea did. "So I'll see you tomorrow?" She questioned as she looked at Brooke in irritation.
"Sure," Brooke shrugged before she closed the door after watching as Chelsea headed down the hallway muttering that she'd go find Ayesha instead.
Following Brooke further into the room, I took a seat on the edge of her bed and watched as she continued to finish her makeup.
"What was that about?" I questioned curious.
Brooke placed a brush down and turned me. "She's been wanting me to talk to her about her crush on Ayesha. I would want to help her with some advice but I don't know why she keeps hitting on you as if that'd answer anything." She rambled as I laughed stopping when she threw a look. Putting a hand up, Brooke continued, "Well enough about her..." She then seemed confused as she asked, "Why are you here so early?"
"Oh!" I answered realizing that I could hand her the item now. "I have a surprise for you," I said watching as Brooke looked genuinely lost.
I paused and watched her as she stared at me. I took out the box that was in my pocket before holding it towards her as I slowly opened it to reveal a ring. "Brooke..." I started as her eyes softened at the moment, "You are the more gorgeous girl that I have ever laid eyes on. You make me the happiest with just your presence and I don't know where I would be without you." She lets out a laugh and goes to touch the ring before looking confused.
"Is this?" She asked as I caught on to what she meant about the ring.
I know she probably thought it was a proposal for the moment. "It's a promise ring..." I corrected softly as Brooke continued to stare at the item in the box with a small smile. "A promise to our future. I promise to love you for as long as you'll have me. I'm not proposing, yet." She let's out a laugh at the last part watching as I continued, "I don't want to leave your side and I want this ring to be a reminder for you that I'll always be there. It's a symbol of my love for you Brooke. I love you so much."
Tears started to form at her eyes as she smiled brightly. She kissed me and moved back so that I could place the ring on her finger.
"Grace... I love it. I love you," She said as she caressed my cheek. "Thank you!" She added with a smile as she stared at the ring.
I laughed and pulled her in for a hug pressing kisses all over her face.
