"What happened tonight is an all-time. An all-time low for Camp Spirit Thunder! You've just ruined this camp's chances against Vance. And even worse? You lost my spirit stick!" Pepper exclaimed disappointed as both our teams stood before her.
"Brooke, give Pepper back her spirit stick!" Carson shouted annoyed as she turned to Brooke who scoffed in disbelief.
"Hey loser, if I had the stick why would my team have gotten hurt?"
"Because your team started to rumble!"
Carson and Brooke were bickering back and forth for a while we all watched until Pepper ultimately had enough and blew her whistle shutting them up simultaneously.
"Enough! You kids have let down yourselves, your camp and your country. Take a look around. Neither of you have enough team members to compete now. So in the morning, when you get up there'll be buses here waiting to take you all home. Goodnight!"
Pepper dismissed with a wave as we all glanced at each other with somber expressions on our faces. Brooke and Carson glared towards one another before Brooke led her team out first, glancing back at me for a second just as Chelsea pulled her along.
Sarah and I didn't speak a word while we packed other than giving each other sympathetic glances before falling asleep.
