as expected the next morning, people on the internet were going crazy about a tweet saying that the saw there is a kid looking like hongjoong claiming that he is his dad. luckily seonghwa's name wasn't mentioned and there was no picture taken yet hongjoong was freaking out.

"its not that bad, hongjoong. most of the comments say that they think it's just a rumor."  and hongjoong was glad about it but he thinks about what his mother would think. she knows that he's here with seonghwa and if she's smart enough, maybe she'll be able to connect the dots. alone the fact that the location the person in the tweet mentioned matched with what he told his mother where he is, could lead to suspicion.

"I know but it still sucks." hongjoong responded, hanging his head low. seonghwa rubs his back and tries so brighten his mood because today is moon's fourth birthday and they didn't want it to be a chaos because of them.

they stood in the kitchen, rowoon luckily already left for work but still left behind a small gift for the birthday kid. seonghwa and hongjoong prepared a nice breakfast and set up a little bit of birthday decoration around the living room. it's the first time, moon gets to spend his birthday with both of them so they really wanted to make it special.

while both of them set the table, hongjoong glanced at the other multiple times. there was something he wanted to ask him but he didn't know when the right time for it was. he also doesn't know how seonghwa would react since they never talked about anything close to it. he takes a deep breath, setting down the last plate on the table and sits on one of the chairs looking at seonghwa who also needed a break from all the preparations.

"did you ever think about getting your own apartment?" hongjoong asked, making seonghwa tilt his head in question.

"I mean of course I would've gotten my own space but you know why that isn't the case." he would be lying if he said that question didn't make him feel kind of uncomfortable. luckily because of hongjoong's financial help, seonghwa isn't as struggling as much as he used to yet that still doesn't mean that he is able to afford a whole apartment for themselves. and also he doesn't like talking about finances, they always end up in some type of discussion where they rarely come to an end.

"well I was thinking about that if you want to, we could go apartment hunting for you and moon. and me for when I come visit." maybe even when hongjoong decides to move to them but he didn't want to overwhelm the other too much.

seonghwa was thinking about it. it would be nice for him and moon to have a little bit more space for themselves and the same goes for rowoon's privacy.

"really? you would do that?" seonghwa asked him again which hongjoong nods his head to.

"I think its firstly great for you. you'll have your own space where you could do what you want and also for moon. one day he wants to have his own room and invite his friends over and when rowoon hyung finds a partner then you wouldn't have to worry about being in their space so I think its a great idea but I understand if that's not what you want in the moment." hongjoong explained, hoping the other would agree to it but seeing seonghwa's smile slowly going up, it already gave him the confirmation.

"I mean if we have enough time, then I think we should take a few glances of them." seonghwa said with excitement building up in him. he imagines himself decorating his own apartment, putting pictures of the three of them on the walls and just the thought of having their space where they can freely do whatever they want. hongjoong as well couldn't hide his smile, he is looking forward to them going apartment hunting, picking out furniture and organizing moon's bedroom.

in that moment they both heard their son, calling for them from seonghwa's bedroom. they were faced a sleepy boy with his hair sticking out to all different directions.
