Leah's POV
Being back at St George's was bittersweet. I love playing for England and being the captain is incredible but I feel something, or someone, is missing while I'm here. Isla. When I'm on the pitch or in the gym I'm focused but the second we stop she's the only thing on my mind.
Our first day was always quiet for the team, except me. I had to speak to Sarina then show some newbies around. By the time I'd done that it was dinner time and luckily both Georgia and Kiera had arrived. After dinner we were told to spend the night relaxing before our first day of training together.
"Saw you've got an admirer Le" Georgia joked as we left the dining room and walked to my room. Her and Kiera have decided that one of the new girls fancies me.
"Hmm she doesn't G. And anyway I'm not interested" Honestly I think they're having me on.
"Maybe you should be. About time you started dating or even just had some fun eh" Kiera joined in now
"There might be someone so you two can calm right down"
"Who?" They both practically screamed
"Not here, someone might hear" I said looking around incase anyone else was around.
As we made our way into my room, they both started the interrogation again. Although Isla and I haven't spoke about what this is yet, I had to tell Georgia and Kiera. I've known them since we played together in the England youth teams. They were the first people I told that I liked girls. So it made sense that they were also first to know who.
Flashback - England U17 Camp
"I think I'm in love" I blurted out to my two best friends
"What? With who?" Kiera said shocked
"Have you got a secret girlfriend? Boyfriend?" Asked Georgia
"No, but if I did I think it's more likely to be a girlfriend." I giggled nervously
"So who is it then? Don't leave us hanging"
"Isla Thomson. She's the new Arsenal striker. Oh god guys you need to see her." I squealed pulling out my phone to show them photos...

"Right so you won't believe it when I tell you. So I've been kinda seeing someone from the team" I nervously told them
"What?" They both look shocked
"It better not be Sophie. How many times are you going to get back together?" Oh shit, is this what they think?
"It's Isla" I whispered
"Isla?" They both said shocked.
"As in love of your life?"
"Isla, as in let's get matching tattoos in Ibiza Isla?" Questioned Kiera
"Wow. Matching tattoos? What have I missed?" Georgia
"It explains the tattoos" Kiera reasoned
"Yeah Isla Thomson, love of my life since we met. That Isla. THE only Isla"
"Oh well looks like my gaydar was way off" Kiera laughed "So what is she bi? She was with that guy for like forever?"
"Erm, I'm not sure. We've not really spoke about that. We're taking things slow" I said looking down at my hands
"LEAH! You need to find out. I can't see you get hurt when she decides she wants to go back to guys"
