SORRY ABOUT THE SCARCE UPDATES, I'VE BEEN TRYING TO REVISE MORE LOL
—————————————

Am I floating?

Drifting weightlessly as if among the clouds, I can't force my heavy eyelids open, but I can feel the comforting warmth encircling me.

An intense wave of serenity hits me, but soon fades off, as a sharp pain in my head becomes prominent.

It honestly feels like there's a little guy in my head trying to hack through my skull with a blunt pickaxe.

I can't help but let out an involuntary groan, and lift my eyelids even though it feels as if someone's attached the weight of the world to them.

Everything's blurry at first; bright fluorescent lights and squeaky clean floors.

That's when I realize I'm in a bathroom. In a bathtub.

Then I panic, if I'm in a bathtub, naked, then who stripped me, because it certainly wasn't my unconscious ass.

I look around, wet hair clinging to my shoulders, and relax a touch when I see An standing at the sink.

Trying to conserve the last of my modesty, i group the bubbles around me, and shyly try to get An's attention, "Hey."

She turns, then smiles when she sees I'm awake, but turns back around, continuing to fiddle with the sinks, "Sleep well, Aika?"

"Like a baby." And i earned a bitchass headache, "What exactly happened last night?"

I can only remember snippets, and even then it feels like the drunkenness lasted a matter of minutes, not a whole night.

An laughs, bringing a cold glass of water over and handing it to me, which I gulp down in one go. She takes it back to the sink, and gives me the refill which I sip on whilst she talks to me.

"well, in short, you got flat out drunk, vomited on some guy, and I had to carry you back to your apartment. You're lucky I was looking for you."

"Well, thanks." I sit in silence debating whether to pop the question or not, "An, did you undress me?"

She turns back, smiling at my embarrassment, "don't worry, I've seen plenty of bare bodies before. Granted, they're usually dead, but my point is I didn't look, just put you in there to soak."

I press my lips together, nodding to myself.

"By the way, I wanted to talk to you..." she starts talking again, and I suddenly remember how she wanted to talk after the meeting ended. Before... anyways.

"Yes! I'm so sorry I'd forgotten," I sit up, then wince at the sharp spike of pain that bursts through my head, "Are you good?"

"There's a few things that you need to know."

I nod, and she turns to face me, bringing a beanbag and sitting next to the tub.

"Ever since you first kissed Niragi, I've been-"

"Wait what?!" You knew we'd kissed before that other meeting?? How?" I almost drop the glass of water in the bathtub.

"Kuina," she smiles fondly, "And she's another thing I need to talk to you about, but let me finish my point."

"Yes, go ahead, sorry." I reply, making a mental note to kick Kuina's ass later.

"I've been doing a little digging. And I may have found his trauma."

"His trauma."

"Well obviously the man's been through something. You're not born like that," she curls her lip.

I open my mouth to defend Niragi, then remember the way he held that girl against the pillar in the Lobby, and immediately my mouth snaps shut. I can't help the ache in my chest though.

She smirks at my silence, "What, lovers quarrel?"

"He's not my 'lover' he's just a dickhead player."

"Isn't he?" She agrees, then more softly, "Aika, did he hurt you?"

"No! Nothing of the sort, I just saw him sucking the face of some whorebag in front of everyone in the Lobby." I scowl.

"So you got drunk to forget about him, ahh ok I understand now. But I'm truly sorry he broke your heart." She looks down, unsure of what to do.

"He didn't break my heart. I just hate him so much. I hate his stupid asshole face and everything about him."

An smirks, "Are you going to get revenge?"

"How could I?? If I could, I'd dip his heart in liquid nitrogen, then crush it into such tiny pieces it looks like powder, then snort the powder, but we can't have it all can we?"

"No... we don't have liquid nitrogen do we?" She says teasingly and I frown.

"No..." I sigh heavily, "But what were you going to tell me about him?"

"I'm not really sure whether I should now, I don't know whether it's my place."

"Oh come on An, please. I've already been cheated on, and I have a splitting headache, please just tell me."

"Ok, well it's just that-"

An's words die in her throat as someone pounds on the bathroom door. I jump in fright, clutching my naked body.

"WHO IS IT?" She calls at the door, then at me; "don't worry it's locked."

"OPEN THIS GODDAMN DOOR RIGHT FUCKING NOW BEFORE I SHOOT IT DOWN." An angry voice shouts through the wood.

I freeze, I'd recognize that voice anywhere.

"Don't let him in," I whisper to An, but she's not looking at me.

I can tell she's debating it, especially as the pounding on the door gets louder and louder. Finally she caves, despite my hissed protests, and unlocks it.

He comes barging in, an expression like thunder locked on his face, and when he spots me in the bathtub, he does a double take.

"GET OUT ASSHOLE I'M IN THE BATH!!" I yell, my voice cracking and sore.

"I'll leave you guys to it," An winks at me and I glare at her as she closes the door behind us.

Now it's just me and him. That bitchass degrading good-for-nothing man-whore. I grip the glass of water so tight in my hand that it feels ready to shatter.

"Get. Out." I can barely force out the words without screaming at him.

He doesn't talk, just looks down at me, conflicted with anger and something else I can't quite place...

He takes a step forward, and I bring my legs up to my chest to conserve my modesty.

"Don't take another step." I say dangerously.

Obviously, he ignores me, so I do the only rational thing that could be done in this situation. I throw the water at him, glass and all.
