"Are ya ready?" Soda asked me. I knew he was talking about going back inside with the gang.
"Soda, if we wait until I am ready to go back in, we'll be here forever." I said. He laughed.
We both stepped inside, and were bombarded with questions. We were laughing and barely listened.
"Which one of ya'll set this up?" I asked, knowing this had to be a plan. Everyone was silent for a second before Steve, Dal, and surprisingly, Johnny, raised their hands.
"Johnny? I thought you were better than that." I joked. He shrugged and smirked. I rolled my eyes.
The whole gang was talking about Soda and I. They were all happy we ended up together. I really thought it wasn't meant to be. I guess it was meant to be.
After Darry, Soda, and I were able to bring in a stable income, they decided it was time for me to see a therapist. I was against it at first, but my problems weren't as bad. I thought I would never recover, but I did.
My parents left Tulsa after a while. I don't know why, but they threw out all my stuff and I was never able to get any of it back. It crushed me, but I knew deep inside that I never would get it back anyway.
Life was good and things couldn't get any better. Finally, things were going right. Finally, I knew everything was going to be okay.
All of this taught me a lot of things. The biggest thing it taught me was the true meaning of those words I was told by my dance teacher. She said it mindlessly, but I found out the true meaning.
Be bold, be brave, be strong, be fearless. It meant that no matter what, I had to be my true self. I didn't have to be perfect, but I had to accept that.
These words are important to me because those were the words in my mind when I met the love of my life, Sodapop Curtis.
Life is a roller coaster and we had each other. The words would forever be remembered, no matter how crazy life gets.
