Idea: Y/n can read mines and see the future. They can only see the future in random visions though. They don't want anyone to know about their powers though so they've kept them a secret. Even from Zane, who they have worked under for years. Many people want them dead. Over the years, Y/n decided they didn't want to work under him anymore. They run away and go to Phoenix Drop.

The wind blew past Y/n as they walked past the trees. As the village walls came into their view, they put their hood and mask on. Their cloak closed around them as they stopped in front of the gate. Their eyes fell over the gate door, not knowing what to do now. Y/n wondered how to get the attention of a guard. This wasn't needed since Laurance kept such an eye on the door.

He stood above but to the side of the gate door, on top of the wall. "Who are you? What is your business here?" Y/n heard his voice cut through the air. They looked up at him before glancing off. They hadn't thought this far ahead. Their name was very close to what would give them away. They went by another name while working under Zane. Y/n knew if they gave this guard their name, he'd know who they are.

The two's eyes locked as Y/n looked back at him. "N/n, I'm looking for somewhere to call home." Y/n answered half truthfully. They technically didn't lie, it was a nickname. They were running away from home so they did need a new place to call home. Laurence hummed and looked into town. He knew there was plenty of room for another citizen. He also knew to talk to Lady Aphmau before he did anything.

"Stay there." He looked back at the masked person. "I must talk to the Lord first." He said, waiting to see their reaction. Which would tell him a lot of Y/n's character. They have a nod and small bow. "Please, take your time." They said, not wanting to be seen as bad in anyway. Laurence nodded and turned away. He got off the wall and saw Garroth who was heading to his post on the wall.

The two stopped next to each other. "Is someone out there?" The helmed guard questioned the casanova. "Yes, they want to live here in Phoenix Drop. I'm reporting it to Lady Aphmau right now." Laurence told Garroth. To which he got a nod in response before the two continued to head their ways.

"Tell me, why did you pick Phoenix Drop of all places?" Aphmau questioned the new person. The two were inside her house, sitting at her table. Laurence took post outside the doors of her house. In case anything happened. Y/n thought for a second. "This place seems nice, people seem friendly and you seem like a Lord that would not hesitate to help her people. Unlike some other Lords." They said truthfully. The only times they've been here was when they were attacking the place.

During those times, they couldn't help but feel safe within the walls. Even though they were the enemy. They took note of how the people would help each other without hesitation. Y/n wanted to stay in a place like that. Like Phoenix Drop.

"Well, it's nice to hear that." Aphmau gave a warm, comforting smile. "As long as you don't cause trouble, I'll allow you to stay here. Let me take you to where you'll be staying." She told Y/n as she stood up. Y/n gave a nod and also stood up. The two walked outside and began walking to the housing area. Laurence followed closely behind Aphmau. He kept his attention on Y/n.

Something felt off to him. There was something about Y/n that he didn't trust. It was mainly their voice. He had heard it before.
