MATURE WARNING!! BE WARNED!! (Listen to song for best experience~)
Ngl this chapter and the song made me tear up a lil bit so-
Bakugo's POV:
I put Deku down onto the couch, and I felt his forehead one last time before sitting next to him and shaking my head in disapproval. "What the fuck did I tell you about-"
"Reno. Can you tell me more about him..?" I look at the freckled man in front of me in confusion and utter disbelief. "What's your deal? Why do you wanna know about him??"
"I mean, you have a whole room dedicated to him, I was just curious because he seems like a big part of your life but you've never even mentioned him. Not in interviews or to me or to anyone.."
I sigh and put my head in my hands, staying silent. It stays like that for a little bit, memories coming to me one by one, and it's a bit painful.
Taking a deep breath, I turn to look at Deku, and I could feel a bit of pity radiating off of him.
"Fuck...okay. Reno was a childhood friend of mine, and the reason I don't talk about him is...he...shit..he got kidnapped. And I could've saved him."

Reno and Bakugo sat on the bleacher stands, watching as the 2nd inning started. Reno had insisted they stop for peanuts and snacks before they sat down, it was 'tradition'. Bakugo just complied, missing the first inning.
His mom had dropped them off, she had to go help Bakugo's dad with work but Bakugo being the stubborn asshole he is, insisted on going to the baseball game with Reno. So, there they were, two 10 year olds at a baseball game alone.
This sort of felt like a first date type of thing to Bakugo, but he wasn't gonna tell Reno that, that was just embarrassing to him. Bakugo watched Reno with nothing but admiration in his eyes as he watched the game, seeing Reno so happy, made him estatic.
Bakugo snapped out of it as cheers erupted through the air, and Reno gasped as he stood up and slipped the baseball glove on, pointing to the ball that was flying straight towards them.
"Baku!! Help me up, I'm gonna catch it!" Reno got up on the bleachers and got on Bakugo's shoulders, and Bakugo held onto the other's legs for dear life. Cheers erupted once more as Reno shouted "I GOT IT!!", and Bakugo whooped, putting him down. Reno responded by hugging him tightly.
Katsuki stood there in shock as Reno thanked him and kissed him on the cheek, and he basically exploded, sitting down and watching Reno with love filled eyes.
As soon as the game started, it ended, and everyone started to head home. Reno and Bakugo were walking out of the stadium behind a crowd of people when Reno gasps and groans.
"Baku, I forgot the ball we caught, I'll be right back!" With that he ran off, leaving Bakugo alone at the entrance gate.
A couple of minutes passed, and Bakugo was getting worried, so he ran back inside to find his friend.
He looked around, calling his name, and he got a response back but...it didn't sound right.
Bakugo turned a corner and gasped, seeing his friend being carried out of the stadium. There was a struggle, and the man who was carrying Reno knocked him out. Bakugo shouted and yelled, running after him.
The man in a black trenchcoat and a mask saw the little blonde boy running after them, so he threw Reno in the back and closed up the van doors, jumping in as the car sped off.
No...this couldn't be happening. Tears ran down Bakugo's face as he ran after the van, he ran into the empty streets shouting Reno's name. He ran and ran till he couldn't anymore, collapsing onto his knees.
After Bakugo ran back to the parking lot, he found the ball on the concrete, along with the picture of them catching the ball. He sat on the curb, sobbing and cradling the ball, waiting for his mom to come get him.

"After my mom came and got me, we reported it to the police, and we looked for days...days turned into months, months into a year, and people gave up. I...I gave up. Shit broke me. To even think that if I just went in with him, if I just stuck by his side-"
"You would've been taken too." I stop with my words, tearfully looking at Izuku. He seemed to be teary eyed too, but his eyes were also determined. I watched as he sat up and looked straight at me before hugging me.
"If...if you would've went with him, they would have gotten you too. And that wouldn't be no good for you or Reno. Then you guys both would have been stuck in whatever place that evil man took Reno. If you were stuck, then who would help look for you?"
I sat there, speechless. Normally I was met with pity, sometimes a 'it's not your fault'. But...Izuku was right. I needed to stop blaming myself for this.
With a deep breath I hug Izuku back, sobbing into his shoulder. This was...a change for me. An eye opener. It was...relieving almost. It was like Reno was telling me through Izuku that...it was time to move on.
But...was it really time for me to move on? I struggled through my high school years grieving, and my modeling career was met with fake smiles until I figured that 'hey, you don't have to smile', so I didn't.
A reassuring squeeze from the freckled boy who was still hugging me let me know my answer.
When fate decides something, you can't change or think about the past, you have to move forward.
So from now on, I'm a changed man. I'm moving forward.
