Chapter 4

Ice cream

"Iel? Are you busy, anak?"

Nilingon ko agad ang bagong dating na si Daddy from his business trip. I smiled at him when he paused eating and took a sip from his tea.

"Hell week, Dad. I have to review my notes po," I stated.

"Sipag naman ng anak ko," he sad then smiled at me. "I was just wondering if you‘re free next week because I want my daughter to take a break. Do you want to accompany Dad for next week?"

"Accompany to what?" I asked. Feeling curious about it.

"My friend's daughter will celebrate her birthday next week and I was invited. My friend asked me if I can bring you as my accompany to that party because his son really wants to see you. Your Mom declined my offer since she has something to do for that day."

"Yeah, sure. It will be a hectic sched for me this week and I think I can no longer rest for next week," I sarcastically answered.

"Yes, you can. Mag-eenjoy ka roon," saad nito. "Study well, I won't disturb you for now," he added. I just smiled at him and decided to finish my food.

Hindi naman ako nahirapang magreview para sa gaganaping exam ngayong linggo. Ang mahirap lang sa akin ay kung todo-todo akong magreview ngayon pero mawawala lahat pagdating ng exam o kahit isa sa nareview ko ay hindi lumabas.

It was a busy week. Just last week, I was in the library with Venice to search for some topics and now, here I am reviewing it all in.

It was 11PM when I plan to take the 45 minutes nap. I set the alarm to 11:45 for me to get up and study again. It was my boosting routine.

I lay on my bed to get the nap I planned to get and it was successful when I heard my alarm after 45minutes. I was still half asleep when I turned it off.

Bumangon agad ako at nag proof read ng mga natapos kong ireview kanina. I started to review on other subjects too. It was already 1:16 in the morning when I heard my phone beeped.

Lumapit ako sa bed side table ko para tignan kung ano iyon. Considering that I am busy, I still check notifications lalo na kapag sa phone ko since someone might be needing some help or have some errands to face or do.

It was a notification from instagram. Again, it was Tristan.

I'm outside, it looks like wryzen took a nap. he asked for help but he's not answering my calls.

Wait, tignan ko lang siya saglit.

I went out of my room to check Kuya Wryzen. When I knock at his door, he was half asleep. Pikit pa ang mga mata nitong nagbukas ng pinto.

"Your friend's outside. You asked for help daw," I said.

"Pagbuksan mo na lang nga ng gate. Sabihin mo umakyat na rito," he said calmly.
