PROLOGUE
So The Letters Came From An Army Camp

It was strange when Lt. Alyssa 'Legend' Collins was called in to assist and watch over the U.S. Army. Especially since the American Revolutionary War stirred an even more divide between America and Britain, and people were still weary of the other side. But it was an extra payment, of which Alyssa could use. So, she reluctantly took the job.

And there she was, standing on the docks, trying to get her life together within the bounds of her reach. It was pitch black, of course it was, it was midnight.

As she walked along the streets, her brows furrowed at the sight of broken window panes. She found herself standing outside of the army camp, holding onto the bag with a much tighter grip than before, taking a deep breath. Alyssa left footprints in the mud, extremely thankful for not tripping and landing on her ass. She entered the tent, immediately letting out a hiss of pain when she slid the bag off of her arm. The shoulder wound felt like it was killing her from the inside out, but it wasn't like it was easy to get medical attention in America, she'd rather die than have to pay that much money just for doctors to tell her she only had so much time to live.

"You should probably get that checked out." A man advised, knocking Alyssa out of her trance.

"Who the hell are you?" She questioned, sending him into a small fit of stun.

After getting over his initial state of shock, he answered with a grin, "Howard Stark." He waited for her to reply.

"Lieutenant Alyssa Collins. I'm here to supervise the new batch of soldiers for reasons I don't know." Alyssa replied, crossing her arms over her chest.

She waited very impatiently for him to leave the tent, to which he did after fifteen minutes. She had barely even been in America for an hour, and she already despised almost every part of it. Why she thought of creating a small fire out of small logs and taking a match to light it in order to warm water inside the ten was a good idea, she didn't know. But, Alyssa was in desperate need of the feeling of home, so she poured the warm water into the worn out cup, letting the taste of the tea rush over her.

This was the start of something new, and Alyssa wasn't sure how to feel. She was alone in this, sure, there were tons of soldiers, but what good were they? The majority of them were cold-hearted, egotistical assholes who would attempt to tear her down. And being the non-stereotypical woman had its downsides, but to the ones who judged her, she gave them a simple sign of the middle finger. That was how she dealt with that. Simple, quick, and informative. Right now, she was a mere traveling soldier.

I am aware of how short this prologue is, but words did not want to come from my brain to this.
