CHAPTER FOUR
A Soldier's Coming Home

When Alyssa said she wanted to fly a plane, she did not mean a rusty plane that was on its last flight, but she didn't think Howard Stark was going to be the best pilot.

"The HYDRA camp is in Krausberg, tucked between these two mountain ranges. It's a factory of some kind." Peggy told Steve.

Howard was sitting as a 'co-pilot'. He somewhat turned his head to Peggy and Steve. "We should be able to drop you right on the doorstep, right?" Howard confirmed with Alyssa, who just nodded, concentrating on the flight path.

"Just get me as close as you can, Alyssa." Steve told Alyssa. She still wasn't used to people calling her by her first name. She was used to her rank or last name being called.

"You three are gonna be in a lot of trouble when you land."

"And you won't?" Peggy questioned.

"Where I'm going, if anybody yells at me, I can just shoot them." Steve responded to Peggy's previous statement.

"They will undoubtedly shoot back." Peggy replied, not wanting either of them to get hurt.

"Well, let's hope it's good for something." Steve hoped, referring to the shield.

"Agent Carter? If we're not in too much of a hurry, I thought we could stop off in Lucerne for a late-night fondue." Howard offered, getting a raised brow from Alyssa.

"What?" He questioned.

"We're on the verge of war and you're thinking about s-"

"Come on! Like you don't think about having it with a man?" He questioned, when she stayed quiet, he rephrased. "Or a woman." He added.

"I just want to get back to England, that's my priority after getting this job done."

"It's always good to have a priority, Charlie." The nickname confused Alyssa.

"Charlie?"

"Well, on your file, your middle name says 'Charlotte' and I figured I'd get to call you 'Charlie." Howard said.

Alyssa knew there was no changing it, so she just stayed silent.

Peggy and Steve continued a conversation that Alyssa couldn't care less about. "This is your transponder. Activate it when you're ready and the signal will lead us straight to you." Peggy said, handing one over to Steve.

"Are you sure this thing works?" Steve asked.

"It's been tested more than you, pal." Gunfire blasts shot at them.

"Get back here! We're taking you all the way in!" Peggy exclaimed.

"As soon as I'm clear, you turn this thing around and get the hell out of here!" Steve ordered.

"You can't give me orders!" Peggy shouted.

"No, but he can give Stark orders." Alyssa responded.
