Chapter 2~Let's A-Go

3rd person POV

          Peach sat in her confinement cage bored out of her mind. This was the one millionth time being taken against her will so she did not fight or struggle.
          "Bowser, I'm not gonna marry you this time- I hope you know that". She rolled her eyes at the large turtle who looked in the mirror across the dim room.
          "Princess, you will marry me this time and if I even hear a RUMOR of that small man trying to save you, lord above help me not to destroy him. We will marry and he will be forced to watch me wed the woman he loves".
          "Wait a minute here- Bowser do you even love me? I mean you have never actually sat down and kindly asked me anything unless I was in a cage saying 'I do' against my will." Peach looked at the turtle who for a moment had the feeling of fear and questioning pondering in his mind; However that did not last but a second.
          "Nonsense, I love you and one day you will discover that you love me too. Anyway I have business in 'Our' future kingdom to attend to. He stormed off to presumably to his dark throne room surrounded by molten lave. (I guess lava was his thing?)

*Y/n's POV at the entrance to Bowsers castle*

          You hid along the ship and managed to stay hidden until the flying contraption made it to the castle. This made you wonder why Mario always went through the most extreme measures to save her when you just followed the ship.
          The grand gates of the castle were open with posters plastered over them.
It portrayed the princess being held in a grasp by Bowser. He was the only one smiling in the photo she was looking away rolling her eyes. You grab the poster off the wall and another one is below it However, it appears to be older and faded showing a slightly younger peach and Bowser.
          You think to yourself "Are you fucking kidding me"? You tear off another and another until you find a poster that is barely legible or intact. "At least he's consistent hah". You laughed to yourself actually thinking about his more flattering features. You remember however- you are here to rescue your life long friend not fall in love with her kidnapper.
          After traveling around the kingdom for a while and trying to decipher what room she would be in until, you saw a faint glimpse of a young petite woman staring through a barred window.
          "Aha, If that's not her then damn. I'm blind". You take off for the castle and in about a 5 minute fast walk, you make it to the castle and boy was it tall. The grim dark stone with chambers of lava surrounding a carved bust of The King. "Good lord did bower have an ego or what".
          "Sire Sire! I have great news"! A koopa in a guard uniform sped through the throne room. Bowser turned to him and signaled for him to continue. "From your kingdom on all the way to almost the mushroom. There has been no sightings nor reports of a rescue team for the princess". "The wedding may actually commence this time around". The koopa seemed genuinely excited and this could be because every failed attempt at marrying the princess ended in Bowser storming around in a rage while watching the small Plumber take her back home in his arms. She looked at that man with more love and joy in her eyes than she could have ever looked at Bowser.
          Bowser spoke up. "Well that is very good, I finally have something that makes me happy". He wanted love, that was what it was believed as however, Bowser did not comprehend that both people should have a connection in a relationship.

*Your pov*

          "Peach! Is that you"!? You stormed through the doors of the tower with your only support being the adrenaline running through your veins.
          "Wha- OH SHIT WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE Y/N? it's not safe, you have to go"! Peach looked genuinely happy to see you but the fear in her eyes was a sign that she wanted you to leave.
          "Look peach I came all this way to rescue you, your stupid lover man Mario isn't coming and if you don't leave then I'll force you to- somehow". It was true, this was the most terrifying experience ever with the fact that you did not know what would happen if you ran into Bower or his guards. Just seeing him in person would terrify you with your measly height of 5'8. It was pretty average but apparently Bowser was 10 feet tall and just that thought made you shiver.
          "Fine I'll go with you but this is a very VERY bad idea. If he catches us"-
          "Let's save that for if he does catch us I don't want to put any ideas into my head and make me any more terrified than normal". You smashed the lock on the door, which sent the cage door flying open making a loud crash as the heavy metal hit the wall. "SHIT SHIT SHIT OK THIS IS THE PART OF THE GAME WHERE WE RUN"!
          "AGREED"! the princess picked up the bottom of her dress and slipped off her heels for better running.
          "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN HERE DARLIN"- Bowser scanned the doorway seeing the two of you flee down the stairs. "GUARD GET THEM AT THE BOTTOM OF THE STAIRS, DON'T LET EITHER OF THEM AWAY"! The fierce king roared out loud and took off after the two of you, running at a relatively faster pace than you would've imagined.
          "PEACH I KNOW ITS SCARY BUT JUMP DOWN THOSE STAIRS ILL GET THERE SOON"! This would give her a heads up and a less likely chance of being caught but it would turn out to put you at risk of being captured. "DON'T WORRY ILL CATCH UP TO YOU"- "AGHH"!  There was a massive claw around your neck which lifted you up off the ground and brought you to Bowser's face. He roared mightily with sparks and flames graving your face. Was this the same man that you had fawned over earlier?

*Bowser's POV*
          As I roared in the strange woman's face, her fear was apparent. I could see it in her eyes, she did not fight as much as I would have thought and she gazed at me almost trying to display confidence and fearlessness even though I was currently a flaming, snarling beast of rage.
