Chapter 3~A dungeon and a dragon

*Peach's POV*

        As a swarm of koopa soldiers made their way to my location and cornered me below and above the stairs I heard   Y/n's voice yell out
        ''Don't worry I'll catch up with you''!
        I trusted that she was right, and that I was about to make the right decision. So I jumped- Out of a window to be exact, I did not know if there were guards at the bottom but staying here meant all of Y/n's efforts would have been for nothing.
        As I ran through the town with soldiers on my tail, I couldn't help think of how much better this would have gone if Mario would have just got here and saved me like he always did. But that didn't matter now. I had no place to turn and my only hope was to find a place to lay low until there was a moment of peace which I could use to escape.

*Y/n's POV*

        I started directly into the great Bowser's Ruby red eyes. When they glistened I could see my reflection in them; While my mask of fearlessness was intact- I was slipping away to the terror as his flames surrounded me, careful not to scorch me alive. (Hmm and to think I was fangirling over him before. Kinda odd).
        While still holding -no- grasping my small body, he pressed me against a wall.
        "Who are you and what are you doing with my princess"? Bowser stared dead into your eyes and you couldn't look away from the intense gaze he had upon you.
        "Please, uh- Lord Bowser, I meant no harm. I am the princess's friend and I was only trying to help her. So please, do not harm me nor her as I assure you I can find her and bring her safely back". This was a lie, you didn't know heads from tails when it came to where Peach ran off to, but you couldn't tell him that. Your only objective in the moment was to keep your head on your shoulders.
         Before he spoke he chuckled a bit. "Stop the nonsense, I know as a friend and compatriot of the princess you would not tell her location to a soul, Fuck probably not even to Mario! But I might still have. Uses. For you Dear.". He took a bit of your long hair in between two of his claws. "GAURDS! Have her taken to one of my holding chambers, Its late and I believe we should give this stranger some rest before her scarification or whatever I feel like doing. Heh". Bowser dropped you too the ground after letting you go. He left to go and most likely track the hunt for the princess, meanwhile the gaurds led you to what would be your holding cell for an unspecified amount of time.

*Bowser's POV*

         "Any updates on my Fiance's whereabouts"?
         "Uh- no sir. Our remaining koopas are still searching and will not stop until your darling bride is returned to you".
         Damn, peach is still missing. Alas, she won't get far without coming back to save her friend. It will be a perfect plan, unless her friend does something to benefit me which in that case makes her more valuable than- WHAT AM I THINKING! She may already be more polite than peach even though she was just saving her ass but still, I I love Peach. Peach loves me, and I'll finally have something to make me happy.
          "Sire may I be informed as to what you are pacing around for"? Apparently he had just been walking back and forth while thinking.
          "Men, keep up the search and report any information at all about her little escapade. I have some business with the intruder to attend to". He turned away and made swiftly to the chamber which held the prisoner (he should really learn their name, good God).

*The dungeon, 3rd person*

          As the gaurds pull you into the room that you'll call home for the next however long this situation takes, the realization of what has gone down washes over you and causes tears to run down your face. You think to yourself, why didn't I leave this to someone who actually knows what they're doing, I don't know how to save a princess!
          The heavy door opens on the opposite side of the room, unsure of what it is you just stare at the wall as you sit, curled up in the corner.
          It's- Bowser? What did he want, all he did was scare the shit out of you and cause your vision to go white after halfway strangling you to death.
         "What is your name"? While there was not any expression on his face, he asked a question and quite frankly at this point it was scary to wonder what would happen if you ignored him.
         "Y/n". That was all, you would not speak a word that was not asked of you.
         "Well, I assume you already know my name. Y/n". He looked up at you through the bars of the cell. "A-Are you crying"? "Look your friend isn't hurt,hell we can't even find her".
          It was difficult to fight off yelling at this beast and after letting your emotions slip, you went off. "Do you really think I'm crying because of her? No. I know peach will be fine, she always is and will be. But me? In attempts to save her all that I've done is get put in a jail cell which NEWSFLASH SHE SHOULD BE IN AS WELL! Why do you even chase after her!? Shes not really royalty. Me and her both popped up through portals out of nowhere and they made her the princess. There are so many people out there and you choose the one person that ends up putting my life on the line, but it's not like you care. YOU DONT GIVE A SHIT ABOUT ANYONE"! Oh no. Oh no no no no no. What did you even just say?
          Bowser looked genuinely stunned and maybe even hurt, you didn't mean to make the words come out so rude. I mean he was a 10 foot tall beast who locked you up and kidnapped your friend but still- he didn't deserve to get yelled at like that.
          "Ah. I see. I'll leave you with your emotions here Y/n. Im understanding the situation as well as I currently can so I'll go for now. I will be speaking with you tomorrow however and would like to get a word out". "Goodnight". The door slammed behind him as he left with only the cruel sting of your words ringing off the walls. Not sure what to do next you layed on the cot and felt the hot tears run down your face as everything that happened ran through your mind. You would have to apologize tomorrow.

Hello, I tried to make this chapter a bonding moment between Bowser and you but I feel like this is better than just immediately falling for him. I know, it's boring but Once the actual good stuff is here it'll be so worth it.
