Percabeth One Shots

GREECE Pt. 1

"Annabeth!" Shouts my step mother Helen. 

"Yes?" I shout back. 

"Come down! Your father and I would like to speak to you." 

I roll my eyes and turn back to the sketchbook in front of me. My latest building was waiting to be finalized on paper. "Can it wait just one second? I have to finish my design!" 

I can practically hear Helen rolling her eyes as she shouts, "Whatever." I smile as I turn back to my architecture and then my father shouts, " Annabeth! Get down here!" 

"Why! Can't you just wait one minute?" I scream out of frustration. 

"No! It will only be five minutes." I slam my pencil down and stomp downstairs.

"Make it quick." I say with my arms crossed.

"Helen and I, we feel as if you should see your mother this summer." My heart stops.

"What?" I am so confused. Why would they think this is a good idea? She left me! Why should I go spend two months with her? 

"Your mother and I have discussed your itinerary and you will be leaving next Saturday. Right after school ends." My father says cooly.

"What do you mean? Where am I going?" I'm shaking at this point. A summer in God knows where with my mother who abandoned me and couldn't bother to even call on my birthdays.

"You are going to Greece. Specifically, Skopelos." 

"What? You mean I'm going across the fricken world to see a mother who doesn't love me? And I'm going to be all alone? What about all my friends here?"

"You said you hated them." Not helping my case here Helen! 

"Why are you doing this to me!" I scream as I run upstairs to my room. I immediately facetime one of my friends that I actually do like. 

"Thalia!" I cry into my phone. 

"What is it? I'm kinda busy." Thalia doe not beat around the bush. She says what she's thinking even if it's unwanted. That's why I love her. 

I tell her all about how my parents are shipping me off to some island in Greece. She is unsympathetic.

"So you're telling me that you are going to an island paradise where there are unlimited hot guys? Dam, be grateful." I laugh a little at this.

"I guess you're right. Hey I might even make new friends there!" Thalia rolls her eyes.

"You sure need them. Those girls you hang out with at school suck." We both laugh.

"This can be my summer glow up." 

"No one will recognize you!" 

"Thanks Thalia. You really made me feel so much better." I give her a soft smile through the phone. 

"It's no problem. I got your back at all times." After we say our good byes I head back down stairs to face Helen and my dad.

"I am sorry. I will go to Greece and stay with my mother. I will even try to settle in and make friends." I say. I stand there awkwardly as my parents sit there staring at me. The more they star at me, the more awkward I get. 

"Thank you for your apology Annabeth." My dad finally says, breaking the silence.

"We are happy that you are handling this maturely. How about we go shopping tomorrow after school and buy you some clothes for this summer?" I give Helen a soft smile. She loves shopping and will use anything as an excuse to drag me with.
