School is miserable. Don't get me wrong. I love the classes and the books but I really hate these girls. Chiron has sent me to Merrywood Girls Prepatory School since he thought I needed time off from camp to spend time getting to know other teenage girls. It's so stupid. I have made a few friends- Cassie, Anna, Elizabeth, and Isabella. But to be honest they all suck.
They all are so boy crazy which is funny because none of them have boyfriends. And they all make fun of me because I am not boy crazy or anything like that.
I haven't told them about Percy though. How do I know that they aren't monsters? Why would I trust them to let him be?
Everyone is going crazy about our winter formal, which is tomorrow night. People are all losing themselves.
Cassie is completely ignoring me, which is typical, and she and everyone else is leaving me out of plans. I don't like her or the other girls but I still don't want to be lonely and miserable at school.
Currently I am standing outside of the school waiting for Percy to come pick me up. He's attending Riverwood Academy, an all boys boarding school an hour away. He is driving me back to camp so we can spend this weekend with our friends.
Percy texts me that he's 15 minutes away when Cassie walks over, followed by her possy.
"Hey Annabeth!" She waves at me. She sits next to me and Elizabeth sits on the other side. Isabella and Anna stand in front of us. "Wanna play never have I ever?" Cassie asks casually. Of course she will try to use this to annoy me. I roll my eyes and nod.
"Ok I'll go first!" Anna says. "Never have I ever kissed a boy!" Wow. I'm just going to go for it. I stick down my finger. No one else does.
"Annabeth seriously?" Shouts Isabella.
"Yep." I say as I check my monster proof to see if Percy is near. 10 minutes.
"Who?" They all ask.
"That wasn't the question," I say slyly.
"You suck!" Cassie says.
"Obviously I don't if I have been kissed and you haven't." I snap.
"You are probably just lying." She says with a glare.
Everyone else nods in agreement.
I roll my eyes and check my phone. 5 minutes.
"You know what? Maybe if you paid attention to more things other than yourselves you would notice these things." I say as I stare them down.
Anna gulps as she says, "notice what? Your lies?"
"Whatever." I stand up and walk down the block to meet Percy.
When he finally arrives I give him a big hug and we drive off.
Those other girls may have a bunch of short lived relations ships but I have one real one. And that's all I need.
