"Annabeth! You'll be late for your flight!" Helen shouts upstairs. I open my eyes and jump out of bed. I'm going back. Back to Greece and back to my friends. I quickly brush out my hair, which I cut yesterday to my shoulders in preparation for the heat in Greece. I throw on white flowy pants, a coral top, and white sandals. I then dab on some lip balm and rush downstairs and to the car, packed with my bags.

....

"Annabeth!" Piper shouts as she and Hazel rush up to me when I get off the boat.

"Hey guys! I miss you so much. We need to video chat more often!" I shout, tearing up with joy.

"Of course!" Hazel exclaimed. "There's so much we need to tell you."

"Really?" I ask. "Spill the tea." Hazel never gossips so this is very exciting.

"Well, Leo accidentally set a fishing boat on fire and was sent to an island a couple hours away to work for the owner of said boat. Frank grew like another foot!" She said with a blush.

"Oh my lord. Leo???" I laughed. "And Frank??" I smiled and turned to Piper. "How are you and Jason going?"

"Fantastic! We went through a little rough patch for a bit but now we are better than ever."

"That's great! And um how's Percy?" I asked shyly. "Did he ever get a girlfriend?"

"Why? Are you jealousssss?" Piper asked innocently.

"No!" I shout quickly.

"Oh you are fooling yourself! And no he never got a girlfriend." Hazel answered.

I smiled against my will.

"You seem awfully happy about that." Piper says with a smirk.

"What do you mean? I'm just basking in the sun." I say nonchalantly.

"Oh sure." Hazel says.

"Speak of the devil!" Piper whispers.

Then I see him. All six foot three of him. All of his tan skin and dark hair. All of those muscles.

"Hey Annabeth!" He shouts once he sees me.

"I knew I smelled something fishy. Must be that seaweed brain of yours." I say with a smile.

He finally reached me and gave me a hug. "I missed you wise girl."

"I missed you more seaweed brain."

"I missed you most." He says with a smirk as he pulls away.

"I missed you-" I begin.

"God just go date already!" Piper exclaims.

I blush instantly and Percy shouts, "go obsess over something else!"

Piper gasps and then smiles as she grabs Hazel and walks to the village.

"I know you just got here but would you like to go on a quick fishing trip with me?"

I turn around to gesture at my bags but realize they are gone. Hazel and Piper snatched them!

"Sure. Hopefully we don't get stranded this time." I say with a smile.

"You can trust me! Some call me the son of Poseidon because of how good I am at sailing."

"Keep telling yourself that." I look up at him.

"You look good Perce." I blurt out.

"So do you. You seem much more relaxed than you did this time last summer."

"That's because I wasn't dreading it this time." I say.

"Or you just wanted to see me!" Percy says with a laugh.

"That too." I say as I punch his shoulder.

We finally reach his boat and we hop on. Once we are outside of the bay, he stands next to me .

"Guess what." He says.

"What?" I ask oblivious.

He picks me up and throws me into the ocean.

I emerge furious.

"What was that for!" I scream at Percy who is laughing at me.

"That's for leaving me for eight months." He leans down and offers a hand. What a seaweed brain. I grin at him and yank him down into the water. He emerges next to me and gasps.

"I should have seen that coming." He said.

"Your brain was too full of seaweed." I laugh.

"Not everyone can be wise like you." He says annoyed.

We swim for a little while and when I try to get back into the boat, he pulls me back and I land in his arms.

"Percy! I'm hungry and we still haven't caught any fish." I whine.

"The fish can wait. This can't." He says with a smirk.

"Wha-" I start to say but he presses his lips to mine. His lips are salty and soft. I kiss him back and after a little while we get back in the boat and sail back to the island. We forgot to catch the fish.

....

That summer was a beautiful one. Percy and I spent all of our time kissing, swimming, or both. Hazel, Piper, and I loved to explore the island and swim at the beach. This summer was a beautiful one and I am eternally grateful for this one. I don't know how I can possibly leave it.

I now have a beautiful boyfriend who is amazing... and keeps distracting me while I pack. Little kisses here and there result in the packing taking four hours. When I am all packed, my beautiful mother glides in the room.

"Percy." She says with a nod.

"Hi Ms. Pallas." He says politely.

Then my mom turned to me and smiled with tears in her eyes.

"Annabeth, this summer I hired a lawyer and argued for full custody. And I won."

She says happily. My jaw drops and I can't speak.

"Does that mean I can stay? Forever?" I shout.

"Yes!!" She says as she gives me a huge hug.

I'm staying here! I turn to Percy and give him a huge hug.

"I don't know how I could have left you." I whisper in his ear.

I pull away and we smile at each other.

I hug my mom and run all around the village to tell my friends. Then I return to Percy and give him a kiss. "I love you Percy."

"I love you too."

Man that summer was a good one. And all the summers that followed.
