"The next time I see you will be as my bride."
__________________________________It had been three weeks since the bachelor and bachelorette parties, all of them having ended their trip in Brazil on a blast, having one more day to themselves all as a whole group much to Blue and Ethan's joy.
They all had a great time at the beach, playing volleyball as Ethan with his height dominated of course, continuing with his winning streak from all the friendly competitions he had during the course of the trip. They had ended off their night with a great seafood barbeque by their resort's back garden overlooking the beach, having heartfelt conversations that they would remember for a lifetime.
All of them were a little bummed on the flight back to Boston, not wanting their little vacation, celebrating two of their friends' new chapter in their lives, to end so soon. However, at the same time, they were excited for the big wedding day to come.
Currently, Blue was rummaging through her shared wardrobe with Ethan, ensuring that she had packed absolutely everything she needed for their flight to Miami.
While the physical preparations were already underway for their wedding at the Botanical Garden which they had chosen as their venue, Angela had advice for the soon-to-be wedded couple to arrive there at least a few days in prior so that things would not be too rushed for them.
"Rookie, have you seen my hair gel?" Ethan asked, walking into the wardrobe, finding his fiancée pulling out a few shopping bags from a hidden alcove of a shelf.
"You left it in the bathroom this morning." she told him, trying to discreetly disregard the bags in her hand, but Ethan was far too astute to miss out on it.
"Why do you look like you're up to something." he asked with narrowed eyes.
"I am." she admitted, seeing as there was no point in hiding that fact. "It's a surprise for you, and trust me, you're gonna want the suspense."
"Is that so?" Ethan asked with a raised eyebrow, pulling her closer to him. "Can't I have a hint?"
"Well, maybe I can offer you a reminder that we are flying straight to our honeymoon from Miami." Blue said softly, watching Ethan's eyes darken at the implication.
They had decided to save the time of travelling back to Boston and instead ride on their wave of bliss by heading for their honeymoon from Miami after seeing their friends and family off home.
"Alright then, I'll be eagerly waiting for my surprise." Ethan replied, leaning forward to kiss her lips as they got on with their packing once again.
They spent the entire morning, packing and moving around the house, ensuring that everything would be in order as they would be gone for a total of four weeks, including the one week they would be in Miami leading up to their wedding. Fortunately, some of the Edenbrook staff that would be attending their wedding, will only be travelling a day or two before the actual day which meant there was still plenty of manpower back at the hospital.
Tobias had once again, taken the initiative to lead the team while Blue and Ethan will be on their honeymoon, and to make things easier, Baz had volunteered to take a break from his present study to aid the team as a member for that time period as well.
The doorbell rang, signifying the arrival of their takeout Chipotle bowls, as both of them were far too busy to cook for themselves.
"Food's here." Ethan called out to Blue as she entered the dining area with her laptop.
"Thank god, I've been starving." Blue said dramatically as she helped Ethan lay out the food, Jenner joining them. "We are going to have a total of at least 150 people at our wedding." Blue told Ethan as they started eating their lunch, showing him the number of friends and family that had RSVPed their E-invite.
