A car horn blared, making Hyunjin's ears prick forward. The Human world was intolerable even in cat form. He brought a paw to his face and licked it absentmindedly.

He had only been here for six days, and that was six days too many. The view from his rooftop in a random neighborhood of Seoul was starting to grow stale in Hyunjin's eyes.

How am I supposed to live like this? He thought bitterly. Usually he enjoyed dropping into he Human world here and there to have some fun, but that was only for a day or two. Now he was stuck here– well, until he lived out his punishment.

How long would that take? How many years of his life would he be pacing around the Mortal Realm, hunting Fallen Angels for his father? Hyunjin didn't particularly want to think about it, what's a few measly years to a Demon like him? Regardless, he was pissed. And he needed to pee.

Fuck, whatever, I'll have to get out of cat form eventually. He leapt up and padded to the edge of the roof, dark fur absorbing the heat from the little sun there was.

Tensing to jump down onto the fence below, he paused, spotting the dog in the yard next to 'his'. Hyunjin's mood brightened slightly, he jumped onto the fence with a deliberate thump, yappy old fleabag.

The dog instantly threw itself at the fence, barking like it was on fucking drugs or something. Hyunjin hissed menacingly, chuckling inwardly to himself.

He had been messing with the mutt all week. Never got old. He continued strutting along the fence until that frenzied yapping faded, and hopped to the ground.

Looking around, he padded into a sheltered little alley and shifted quickly into his Human form. He groaned, straitening up and stretching languidly. His back popped loudly.

He was about to zip down his pants and pee right there in the alley, but before he could, something struck him. He doubled over from the pressure, what the fuck– that–

Not something physical– it was– no way, a summons. Hyunjin's body thrummed with magic, his head pounded with it. This can't be happening.

Threw the haze in his head, a voice reached threw, it jolted threw his very blood and bones,

"Help me– please, please– ... Stop–!" Followed by a cry of pain that Hyunjin could have sworn he felt as well. Magic singed the air around him, and before he could think, it was whisking him away. He tried to struggle against it, but his body betrayed him, he was compelled to answer the summoner– somehow wanted to.

Hyunjin was sucked out of the alley and thrown into a– well, another alley, from what he could see. Magic left him in a rush of power that tingled across his skin, and he stumbled a bit, cursing.

"Fuck what the hell?"

"Hey! Someone there?! Did you call your friends you little fucker?" A man yelled. Hyunjin spun, finally seeing he wasn't alone in the alley. Four men stood around a figure laying prone on the ground. One of them held a bat.

My day just can't get any better now can it? He thought. The men were looking at him now, the one in front sneered,

"Get lost, your friend's getting what he deserved. Pompous ass twerp," he spat. Hyunjin should have turned around, he should have said he was only there to have a smoke, that he was leaving. But it gripped him, that something. His body strained forward, trying to fulfill that demand, and this is what he did say:

"You should get out of here, old man." Shit.

The man's shit eating smile disappeared,

"What did you just say to me punk?" He said, stepping forward. Hyunjin didn't say anything, he watched as the other men left the boy on the ground to advance on him, one of them giving one last kick to the boy as he left.
