Sometimes, Seungmin just feels things. Like when he was ten and he somehow knew that little girl would run out into traffic and die. The time he thought his high school science teacher was doing stuff with students.
When he knew he would die in that alley with the loan sharks, and did something he promised himself he would never do.
Seungmin had never done anything about those feelings. The girl was dead, crushed under oncoming traffic like an empty KFC bucket. Many unsuspecting students fell prey to that teacher's sick 'grade raising' deals. And countless other people no doubt had suffered because of something he might have prevented.
Until it was his life at stake, he had never made the decision to act on his premonitions. He was selfish, and he knew it.
Had he told Hyunjin he didn't have any unusual abilities-angelic powers?
Yes.
He lied.
Seungmin lied. He lied to Hyunjin, he lied to his friends. And he lied, to himself.
Seungmin told himself he would never use his mother's necklace. He tried to get rid of it so many times, run away from that last link to the other world. That other world that killed her.
But he couldn't. He couldn't just throw away the last thing she gave to him.
Yet he knew it was dangerous. So, he vowed never to let that world seduce him. He wouldn't follow in his mother's footsteps.
She let it consume her until there was nothing left. She left him.
But he broke that vow.
Sometimes, Seungmin just feels things. And right now he felt Hyunjin.
He was nestled under his covers with the bedside lamp illuminating his assignment for marketing, when the Bond had snapped alive. Seungmin flinched at the feeling, like hot pins and needles down his spine.
Shit.
He jolted out of bed, assignment drifting to the floor unnoticed.
He's here.
Seungmin snatched up Hyunjin's phone and texted the number he had been talking with.
<You>: He's here, are you ready to come? I'm going to do it
<L.Minho>: Be careful, it could really fuck him up. I'm on my way
He wrung his fingers, now standing in the middle of his bedroom in sweatpants and a baggy sweater that's stretched out neck slipped off his shoulder.
He didn't know what he was doing.
He had reached out to Minho on a whim when he had first gotten the idea to break the contract. Release Hyunjin and his life would return to normal.
The carpet was soft under his cold feet, he stared at it, not really seeing anything.
He'll come here. He's going to find me.
Seungmin wanted to run. Sort of. But he was tired of avoiding things until they go away.
He frowned, maybe the stranger in the alley is getting to me.
Maybe, maybe he was being selfish again, but he had had time to think about it. He didn't want to be Seungmin, bastard son of an Archangel, orphan, freak. So he would be Seungmin liar, selfish. Coward.

Fanfiction"What are you doing," Seungmin demanded breathily. Hyunjin thought that was a very good question. He must have been losing his mind, but he smiled as he pulled a keychain out of Seungmin's pocket and dangled it in front of his face, "What do you...
