It was warm. And soft. Seungmin didn't want to move. He cracked his eyes open to the warm sunlight streaming between the gap in the curtains. It spilled across his bed and illuminated the red haired boy who was still sleeping, laying on his side less than an arms length away.
Seungmin watched him. It was better than thinking about anything right then, and besides, he was so pretty like this even when his face was bruised. Hair messy and face relaxed, he had put on one of Seungmin's shirts that was too small for him. A sleeping lion, a harmless predator.
A Demon.
And I am a half Angel. A Nephilim. I'm not as different from him as I thought.
Seungmin watched. He studied Hyunjin's sleeping face like it held the answers to all his questions. It didn't. He knew it didn't, but the Demon was his best shot at understanding himself. What he was, what he could do.
What am I?
Seungmin?
An abomination?
Does it matter?
No.
No, none of that mattered, because nobody could ever know about this. Not his friends, not anyone, Seungmin realized. Hyunjin was the only one who would ever know, at least if he managed to never tell anyone.
He didn't want his friends to see him differently, or think he was crazy.
It's better if they don't know...that.
He looked at Hyunjin's bruised lip, which twitched up at the corner,
"I can feel you looking at me Seungmin," Hyunjin's deep morning voice caressed Seungmin's ears.
Busted.
Hyunjin opened his eyes, smirking at Seungmin in that way that made him look feline. Seungmin blinked,
"You slept in my bed."
"You grabbed onto my arm and wouldn't let me leave."
Yah that sounds like me...
Hyunjin cocked his head,
"Does it bother you? I was going to sleep on the couch but-"
"No it doesn't bother me, I was sitting on your lap yesterday."
They looked at each other in silence for a moment. Hyunjin broke it,
"Yah but... I just thought maybe that wasn't...you."
Seungmin wanted to laugh.
Is he being actually considerate right now?
He couldn't even blame it on the fever, he felt completely normal. He stifled a yawn,
"Who else would it have been?" He joked, earning a raised eyebrow from Hyunjin.
"You know what I mean," he said. Seungmin smiled a bit, shifting to sit up more.
"Hyunjin."
He looked up at Seungmin, lazy, an underlying expression of concern.
"Hm?"
Seungmin's stomach fluttered with nerves as he leaned forward, putting a hand under Hyunjin's chin, he kissed the Demon's bruised and swollen lips.
Hyunjin froze in surprise, but then Seungmin felt his hand on the back of his neck. The soft peck that Seungmin had initiated was long gone when Hyunjin kissed him back.
