Jeongin slipped his phone back in his pocket with a uncontrollable little smile.
Seungmin asked me to hang out.
He chuckled, lost in his own world, it was rare that Seungmin was the one to ask for company.
"Look at you, giggling like a creepy schoolgirl. I would bet anything he's only asking you because he's desperate."
Jeongin whipped his head towards Chan, euphoric face turning into a glare. The Demon was lounging on a pile of pillows on the floor at the foot of Jeongin's bed. Since Jeongin had ditched the shackle, Chan had been making himself at home in Jeongin's apartment.
He was sure Chan was plotting something, trying to make him complacent.
"Deal. I bet you he wants to see me because he misses me."
Chan flicked his eyes to jeongin, putting down the book he had taken from the shelf.
"Oh, really? Well, if you want. What about the terms?"
His bored expression made Jeongin's eye twitch.
Don't act like you know you've won!
"If I win, you have to grant me a wish... If you win," he made a face, "Whatever you want, you're not going to win anyway," Jeongin finished, trying to look confident, after all, he would win.
Chan looked thoughtful,
"Okay, I'll grant your wish if you win. But if I win, you have to do what I say for a day."
What he says for a day huh... that will never happen.
"Okay fine, If that's what you want," He snapped, moving across the room to look in the mirror.
Should I change my clothes? Ah but he said he was already on his way...
"You said it."
Silence temporarily filled the room as Chan went back to his book and Jeongin scrutinized his reflection.
"And yes, you should wear something else, if that's what you're going to ask," he said without looking up, making Jeongin stiffen with annoyance.
"I wasn't going to ask."
But Chan chuckled when he went to his closet and opened it, going through his clothes,
"You're really going to change you clothes huh? Since you're not going to ask, you should wear the black jeans and a hoodie, not the white one you spilled dumpling sauce on while watching TV. And a baseball cap, maybe it will hide that creepy look on your face."
Jeongin bristled and spun around to glare at Chan again, though slightly more frazzled this time,
"I— You saw that!? I thought you were asleep!"
He raised an eyebrow,
"Yeah, and I saw you wipe it with your blanket. How was I supposed to sleep with you having the volume on the TV up all the way? Seriously, you're such a klutz."
Jeongin ground his teeth, squeezing the bundle of clothes in his hands as he struggled to think of a retort. Chan only stared at him, amusement in his jewel-bright eyes.
"Shut up I didn't wipe it on my blanket..." Jeongin muttered, hating how weakly it came out.
"Whatever, are you going to keep standing there glaring at me, or are you going to put that on? You're going to be late."
Huffing in irritation, jeongin stomped to his bathroom and closed the door harshly. He changed his clothes quickly, focusing on seeing Seungmin and not the blonde Demon who made his blood boil.
