"A puppy cafe," Jeongin said disbelievingly, he looked at Chan, "How did you know I like dogs."
The Demon gave a small raise of his shoulders,
"I've snooped around your apartment...like, a lot."
"What?!"
Jeongin's mouth dropped open, then flattened into an annoyed line.
Seriously? I thought my stuff was slightly out of place...
"What do you expect me to do when you're gone, read books on taxidermy and stare at the wall?" Chan gave him a look.
"Hey! Taxidermy is very interesting..."
"You have a whole shelf full, it's creepy."
Jeongin blinked slowly and took a deep breath,
"Whatever, are we going in or not?"
Chan smiled, holding out a hand in the direction of the door,
"After you Princess."
He just gave Chan a sour look and walked into the cafe.
A few minutes later he was trying really hard to keep up his aloof attitude.
This was a mistake, I'm caving!
Puppies gathered around him were licking his hands and clothes happily, Jeongin petted a few. The corners of his mouth threatened to turn upwards.
Chan watched him carefully, holding a fluffy white puppy in his lap.
He's waiting for me to break!
Jeongin couldn't hold it much longer, Chan had somehow found and exploited one of his weaknesses. But there were puppies. A golden one with big black eyes licked his fingers excitedly, it tickled.
His mouth twitched, little furry bodies pressed around him. He couldn't help It anymore, Jeongin broke into huge smile, uncontrollable giggle escaping his mouth. The mistake, was that he happened to accidentally look at Chan when he did.
He smiled at Chan.
Ugh I did not just do that did I?
He quickly scooped up a puppy and focused his attention on petting it's soft head. But the Demon had seen, Jeongin knew because of the little chuckled that he let out. What's worse, Chan scooted across the floor, closer to Jeongin.
I don't like him. It doesn't matter that he brought me to see puppies.
He continued the mantra in his head, training his eyes on his lap, and the puppy there, until Chan's knee bumped against his. He snapped his eyes up to give him what he intended to be a glare, but his mouth was smiling.
But what he saw made him lose control of his whole face, until he didn't know what kind of expression was on it. Chan sat cross-legged in front of him, chin propped on a hand as he stared at Jeongin intently.
"What." It came out quieter than Jeongin wanted. He cleared his throat and averted his eyes from Chan's blue ones, "You came here to see puppies, why are you looking at me?" Luckily, Jeongin's fortitude was coming back, he managed to sound irritated.
"Huh? Did I say I came here to see puppies...?" He tilted his head without taking his eyes off Jeongin.
"Uum—No but-" He cursed himself for stuttering, "It's your day, I lost the bet, so we should do something you would enjoy..."
His brain was scrambled, clearly.
Its the hangover.
"I am enjoying this."
