Seungmin's apartment was small. Like, really small. Hyunjin took in the room with a mental scoff, it's the size of a closet back at the palace in Hellhiem.
There was a main living room, which had a division in the form of a counter that separated it from the tiny kitchen. There were only two doors leading to other rooms, one seemed to be a tiny laundry room, and the other, located at the wall to the right of the kitchen, was closed. Great, where the fuck is the bathroom then?
Seungmin cleared his throat from behind him,
"Hold on, I'll get the first aid kit," he moved around Hyunjin quickly, but he grabbed the smaller's shoulder stopping him,
"I seriously need to pee."
Seungmin looked up at him, raising an eyebrow,
"Sure whatever, the bathroom's in there, find it yourself," he said, pointing to the closed door. He rolled his eyes slightly as he turned away to go get the first aid stuff.
Hyunjin huffed, stalking to the indicated door and opening it roughly. He stomped into the room and immediately slowed, gazing around in surprise.
This room was different from the rest of the space, cream colored carpet floor and a window with light blue curtains that the sun filtered through, giving the room a blue hue. A twin size bed sat nestled in the corner, piled with pillows and blankets.
His bedroom?
But those things weren't what caught Hyunjin's attention, no, his eyes wandered over the walls. Every inch of available wall space was covered in papers, scribblings and sketches, pages of books torn out and tacked up alongside band posters.
Some of them were what looked to be hand written music, or lyrics scrawled on restaurant napkins, but what really held Hyunjin's interest was the sketches and notes scattered here and there– they were all about the Spiritual Realm. Pencil renderings of Angels in their natural forms, guesses at the true appearance of Elementals and Fae.
Some of them were spookily accurate, like the drawing of a Demon with detailed portrayal of the leathery bat-like wings and curling horns.
Did he draw all these?
Hyunjin turned in a slow circle. The room had a mysterious cozy vibe to it, he could hardly believe it was in the same second-rate apartment complex they had walked into just a few minutes ago.
How long has he lived here?
"I thought you needed to pee,"
Hyunjin jumped, so absorbed in his own thoughts that he didn't hear Seungmin approach.
"I'm going!" He snapped, ducking through the door to the little bathroom coming off from the bedroom. He slammed it.
"Hurry up," Seungmin's voice retreated as he left.
Hyunjin scowled as relieved himself, he flushed and rinsed his hands with cold water. Running his wet hands through his hair, he sighed.
This is bullshit. He couldn't believe this was happening to him. He couldn't– wouldn't be some sort of a servant for some Human kid.
You will, you will, you will, the Bond whispered through his body coaxingly. Hyunjin gripped the edge of the sink until his hands went numb, bloodied knuckles turning white. I will get out of this," he whispered to himself.
Minho would know something about Blood Debt Contracts, maybe a loophole... he would ask him when he got the chance. It was just a Human after all, how hard could it be? Humans fell at his feet with a smile and a wink from him, he just needed to keep his head about him.
