"Are you ready?" I asked as he stood staring at me in such cool confidence; to be totally honest, I was freaking out! Like run back to the room and never come out, freaking out! I never understood how he could look so calm in every situation my family has hurdled at him so far. It was a bit reassuring but who really needed the reassurance? I inhaled deeply then uttered under my breath, I didn't know what to expect after going through these mirrored doors, because my family can be very unpredictable, I was beginning to show panic again when I felt a soft hold on my left hand, I looked up and saw a serene and humbling smile on Demetri's face, I tried to smile back but couldn't then leaning down he whispered in my ear "We will be alright baby, I got your back", It felt so warm and comforting to hear, that I now felt I had every confidence to move.

"Finally! You guys delayed us by twenty minutes!" I heard Mom mumble after we walked through the door. "Omg Kay K, you look stunning!" My sister praised, "Thank you!" I blushed out and then I felt Demetri gripping me around my waist pulling me into his body. "Look at my baby and her husband-to-be! You guys look amazing....", My mother said as she started sobbing until her words trailed off. We did complement each other even though we were still strangers in every way, I was dressed in a Sheer Red, off-the-shoulder baby doll dress with an empire waistline and he was in his White dress shirt and dark blue dress pants with his hair well-lined. I stared up at him not realizing my adoration was becoming visible until Dom startled me "Kady! You think you wanna come and sit so a sister can get to the meat of the matter?", I felt a slight tug on my arm as I was being led towards my seat; he pulled it out while I smiled and hugged my sister, told him thanks, and sat down.

'Cling cling cling cling!' Mom stood with the champagne glass and the fork in hand, "I would like to make a toast! To my little baby that's about to get married to this wonderful man and my eldest baby girl who has finally fallen in love again!" My eyes shot up at her as she smiled adoringly at me, I couldn't hide the deep red that suddenly took residence on my cheeks.

Dinner went much smoother than I had worked myself up for, I watched as my sister laughed and cuddled the man she loved, my mother did her sassing, Dom and Jackson spoon-fed each other, while everybody else limed and chattered. I occasionally saw stares from people at us, most of the stares were smiles and adoration but the stares that stood out the most were from Lacy's 23 year-old friend Patience.
