"How old are you?" I pressed, "I'm 30" he responded. "Where do you live?" I pressed again, "That's not important" He responded. "Have a steady woman in your life?" I raised my left eyebrow and he responded as calm as ever "My business doesn't allow it". I sigh in frustration and asked "What's your favorite color?" he smiled as said "Green". I was on a roll, I wanted to know every bit of information I could, "What about you?" he jumped in. "What about me" I shouted back with a smirk, "And my eldest baby girl who has finally fallen in love again!" He repeated and stood staring at in face. "I'm NOT in love! And that's none of your business!" I shout back and walked over to the liquor cabinet to pour some Remy "Ok point taken!" he raised his hands in surrender.

"Kay k?" My attention drew to the room door as I heard Lacy's soft voice whisper my name, "Yes, Lace?", "Could I borrow you a minute, I really need to talk to you" she uttered, "Sure Hun" I replied as I look back at him and headed to open the door. "I....I" I stared at Lacy as she was standing with Patience with tears falling down her cheeks, and as she stuttered for words my heart instantly softened "Come in," I said while I hugged her and asked Demetri to give me a few minutes alone. "What's wrong Lace? Are you alright?" I always hated seeing her in pain or distress, I took her hand and led her to the couch while Demetri went outside I watched as he closed the door behind him. "I'm not sure I can do this, what am I thinking? I'm too young to get married! I need to finish school, get a car, have an apartment.....", "Lace? Breathe!!" I watched as panic and fear rose in her voice and eyes. "I'm scared Kay k! I don't think I can do this", "Lacy Samantha Analeece Foster, Do you love him?" I asked sternly "Yes, I do, with all my heart!", "There is your answer then!" I knew she was an amazingly smart young woman so she would've done what she knew was the right thing. "We've got a long day tomorrow so I think you should get to bed ok?" I embraced her in a hug as we walked toward the door. "Thanks, Kay K, I needed that" We made a final embrace.

"No! Not later or next week, NOW!" I opened the door to see Demetri and Patience in what seemed like a heated conversation. "Did I interrupt something?" I said curiously staring at Demetri. "No, everything is great!" he answered in his calm voice, "Goodnight" I watched as Lacy and Patience headed down the hallway toward their rooms.

"What was that about?" I asked as soon as the door was closed. "Nothing" he responded, nothing my ass. "Well Mr. Demetri, it didn't seem like nothing to me, is there something I should know?" I watched as he strolled over to the liquor cabinet. "Ms. Foster......." "My name is Nastacijah" I snapped back as if I was scolding a child "Nastacijah, I can assure you it was a minor discussion, nothing to be worked up about! Now to the matter at hand, what's on for tomorrow?"
