Conclusion

I have never understood how the human mind works. My master gave me an assignment to learn how they live... how they use their emotions and wits to their advantage, but I have never gotten the bottom of it. My original self, Io have zero interest in them. I was tasked to accompany and lend a hand on Emma... my master's second apprentice. Who's also here with me... the one who keeps on meddling with the characters' lives until now. And Lucas, the grand preist, my character in this novel took a liking to everyone because of Emma.

That's how our novel hopping started. Now, the ending of this novel has finally taken its course, Emma and I will leave this alternate world soon. We have already concluded that the black mage that we our investigating have escape to the next novel. There's no point in staying in this world.

I should have left earlier... but I just can't. I don't have the heart to leave Amaury... whose name is now Renee. A name I gave her after reviving her 4 years ago when her own body died.

On those 4 years, I protected her. Spent almost all Lucas' holy power to keep her alive. To hide her until the ending has finally concluded.

I have protected Amaury's soul but wasn't able to keep the original characters alive. I didn't regret it, tho. The only concern I have is Renee's safety. She's the one who's Emma wants to save. Also, because there's something precious inside her that I must get back.

Bumuntong hininga ako nang padabog na ibinagsak ng babae sa harap ko ang kanyang dalawang kamay. The table shakes from her action.

"Io! Nakikinig ka ba? You have done enough! We saved her. She's doing well in the cathedral. Hindi na dapat natin siya ibalik sa buhay na meron siya noon! Let's just leave them alone, please."

"Princess Olivia, please do still call Lucas. Iyon pa rin ang pangalan ko dito habang narito tayo sa loob ng kwento. I'm not Io, and you're not Emma. We are Lucas and Princess Olivia inside this novel."

We already had this conversation before. She meddled with Amaury's life. She did so much to interfere with her. She brought me to her. Wanted me to support her before, but now she just wants to leave her and go to the other novel. Leave her by herself and be defenseless more than she was before.

She doesn't have any memories. She believes my words as absolute. I am worried about leaving her with the original Lucas. Though I will make sure that this Lucas will help her just incase but still... I can not leave her until I am sure she will be unharmed.

I heard Olivia sighed. She isn't the queen anymore. She was ousted when the Emperor got dethrone, and Duke Crescendo ascended as the new rule of the kingdom.

"Look, Lucas... she is already safe here. We did all we could for her well-being. No one will know that she is Amaury Clerebold as long as she stays here."

Umiling ako, "We don't have the right to keep her confine here. We already took 4 years of her life from her. She doesn't have the freedom to do things her way. She only follows my instructions. And that's not living, Olivia. You know that damn well what it feels to be controlled. And to be honest, she'sas hard headed as you. Maybe because of this certain aura inside her."

Her glaring eyes softened, and she sat down on the chair. She's a bit calm now, unlike earlier.

"I just think that she won't need to suffer if she doesn't have her own memories." Malungkot niyang wika, "You weren't there when I tried to bring her back on her own world. She wasn't happy there, too. Her mind is full of anguish. The only happy memories she had were when she became Amaury. But the story also took it away from her."
